Characters belong to me.
Warning: Long vent post.
So I finally feel at peace, something I have not felt in a long time.
The winged dog in the front is Willow, my Service Dog/Working Dog of 14 years.
She was my best friend and I relied on her more then I should have. She became my world. Sadly a truck who's driver was texting and driving hit me at a light with her in it. Her condition worsened and we had to say goodbye to each other.
In my grief I searched for a breeder to work with on finding the right puppy for me. I went through many scammers before finding a good breeder. I told them the specifics I wanted and they went quiet.
A friend found out what happened and told me to visit their sister who had just had puppies. They were insistent and I gave in to check it out. None of the puppies were what I was looking for in a dog, no sparks. I was just about to leave when they brought out a puppy they had set aside for their daughter and put him in my lap. it was love almost instantly, Xander the Scruffy Dog. He brought me some happiness and made it easier to deal with my grief.
almost two years later the breeder contacted me and told me they finally had what I was looking for.
A three hour drive to meet her and bring her home, and a three hour drive back and she clicked instantly with the family. Daisy was part of our lives.
They both fill a part of my heart I thought I had lost and bring me happiness everyday.
I had this piece made because I think in a way Willow guided me to these two and would have been happy to meet them as well. I'd like to think she is watching me and approves of the new pack members I have opened my heart to.
