Fellow snacks,
With FoxyFeast approaching the limit of its potential, I've finally come to terms with the fact it needs an upgrade, and made the tough decision to port it to a better game engine. Foxy’s world is going to be rebuilt from the ground up with tons of improvements, and I have hired professional help to ensure this transition will be as quick and smooth as possible. We've been hard at work all month and we've already got an exciting, playable demo due for the usual update day on the 5th. I'm confident that Foxy should be caught up with his previous adventure in just a few months' time with all the previously introduced characters, all full-bellied and in need of a good rub!
Why upgrade?
FoxyFeast has outgrown the game engine it was made on; a lot of things I want to do with the game are simply impossible. It's difficult to bugtest any new content and it has become stressful to work on at this stage. In short, production would have only continued to slow down.
Will I have to wait for new content?
No. I'll still be releasing monthly updates as normal, and even as we recreate the old content, we'll first be focusing on making something brand-new each month.
What does this upgrade mean?
The game will generally be better: faster, smoother, and more lifelike. On-top of that it will also be easier to develop, so monthly updates will be richer in content. I'll also get the chance to give the game a once-over, which means old levels will be revisited and touched up.

All engines have their pros and cons
Godot is useful because:
Free
Open Source
Fast(Mostly)
Under MIT license
Support for multiple programming languages
Godot also has a few issues:
A bit tricky to learn if you are coming from another engine
2D Physics support is kinda meh
Don't expect to build a "AAA" game with it
Fortunately the cons are irrelevant for Foxy's Adventure.

I also have a video game on project, and I was talking about it with a pal. I was doing it on JavaScript with Electron, but my pal suggested me to use Godot. Since I plan later to have a team, and Godot seems team friends, I decided to go there. Still need to learn how to use it, I'm pretty new ^^"
However, seeing that I can bring my game to Switch and Smartphone, are also a big plus for my new choice.
Anyway, good luck! I will subscribe to your patreon next month once you release your demo with Godot ;p

Was a tough one, but I figured I better move on now before things get anymore difficult. I'm glad fans have been so understanding on the decision.
Graphics and music are already made this time, so bringing things back to where they were should take less than half the time.

Keep in mind that more than half the work has been drawing the art. This time most of the art already exists and I also have a very skilled programmer helping me out.
Once the core mechanics are all ready in Godot, development will speed up tremendously.
I'm still new to Godot and learning to code effectively in C# but thankfully I have someone to keep things running while I catch up. In the meantime I will be working on the art, music and dialogue for the game.
Godot is a faster engine and has a lot of good features to work with. If I had to pick something to be excited about, I would say its support for lighting and normal maps.
