Duck Character sketches

Trying to design a duck character for a project, Going to be a sort of nerdy bookworm kind of thing, which I like!

One pitfall Im running into is he keeps looking too much like Plucky duck, so I need to find a way to differentiate him from that a little more.

Change the beak style altogether. That should be enough to alter it entirely and make him still look like a duck!

I did somewhat, its not clear in the sketches but he has fuzzy cheeks, isntead of the wrap around style. Though maybe ill try a more tapered look.

Flattening the end seems to work, though trying to make it more slender and duck like "referencing real ducks" seems to take a lot of the cuteness away :)
