Believe it or not, I have a girly side.
There is a side to me that loves pink, sparkly things, doing my nails and putting on make-up, being coy and flirtacious and just being a girl. Though my everyday appearance is not UNfeminine (I always tend to wear make-up if Im leaving the house, at least) I wouldn't say I make a concerted effort to be girly everyday.
But I recently bleached my hair, for the hell of it, and so am experimenting with new colours of clothing/make-up etc, one of which is pink. I've always loved pink. Went through a pink phase at 18 too, and still have all my old pink clothes.
Bought myself a new dog collar, in pink, and this spurred me to create a character to express my more girly, floaty, light, pretty side.
I don't really like to use the word fursona for anyone but Ziggy, as I feel she is my main and most important one. But I will happily admit to creating characters that are based on me. I just don't use the word fursona for them. I have one fursona, Ziggy. I have many characters that are still me though, without needing that tag.
This is one.
She is a doberman, as they're one of my favourite breeds and I have this unexplainable, goose-bump inducing connection to them, even though I've had little experience with them in any physical way. However, having to stay within the confines of what is biologically in existance is restrictive. If Im drawing an animal that is meant to be a physically existing creature, I like to keep their colours neutral and natural and make them look as plausible as possible (hence why no purple, magenta or green rats in my world, pretty as such characters may be) But when you open the doors to fantasy beasts, you can be so much more expressive without feeling like you're being stupid.
Taking inspiration from Calx, and the futuristic, barren, dark world he lives in, I created this dog with aims of making her genetically engineered, probably in the same lab as Calx. Though she would most likely be a less crude and more advanced experiment. Mainly biological, some mechanical (steel claws and such). She still has emotions, reasoning, mercy. Calx is far more 'intruder identified, kill'.
Very basic pose and anatomy and shading as this is the first time I've drawn her and I want to get her design set in my head.
Some things may change from this, but this gives a rough idea.
A note on the ears: Yes, they're cropped. As we know, I absolutely DESPISE the practise of ear cropping, I have nothing but contempt for anyone who would do this to their pet, its a barbaric mutilation done purely for cosmetic reasons and anyone who thinks this is acceptable to do to an animal they're supposed to love is just sick and doesn't deserve a dog. Please make no mistake about my feelings on ear cropping.
However, I also don't agree with laboratory rats, but I have plenty of those as characters. I don't agree with many things, but that doesn't prevent me putting it into my art as long as Im not promoting the practise. Having a dobe character with cropped ears in no way means I support the practise, it simply means it fits in with this character's story and life.
She is a genetically engineered dog who was designed and created by man, and it is man who does this kind of crap to animals. My opposition doesn't even mean I don't LIKE the way cropped ears look on dobes, I think it does look cool (unlike tail docking which doesn't even LOOK good). But 'it looks cool' is no justification for mutilating your pet, and thats the point.

Definately a beautful girl. :)
Have to agree with you on the cropping. They look cool, but once I found out that cropping means cutting off part of the dog's ears, I thought it was pretty cool. Pit Bulls are usually ones that have almost ALL their ears cropped off. Unfortunately it's practiced either to look the dog look intimidating and vicious or for the showing standard.
