This former Burlington Northen SD60M was purchased in 1991 for coal drag service from Wyoming to the West Coast and the Midwest, but has since found itself knocked from that duty by even more powerful, more modern units. Owned by BNSF Railway since the 1996 merger, it and most other SD60Ms were stored in yards around the West due to the lower demands of the Recession, but freight taffic is on the rise again and units such as these are back out on the rails. Here, #8128 with its distinctive three-windowed ("Triclops") cab front, teams up with a Dash-9 to lead a westbound manifest at Highlands station in Hinsdale, Illinois.
