Deep under the sea, it was calm as I swam along in the slowly darkening waters. Lately i've been seeing a faint glow beneath the waves as the sun set and the night took hold and after a few days of watching this mesmerizing glow, I decided that i'd find out just what was making it.
It wasn't long before off in the distance I could see the faint pink glow that had lit up the sea start to grow brighter and brighter, and soon, it's source was known to me. "Jellyfish!" I bubbled happily as I watched the little squidgy things bump and float along the current. It must have been hundreds, if not thousands of the things all grouped up together and their luminescence lit up the waters. It was quite the sight as i've seen jellyfish before but not in theses numbers nor with such a alluring glow. It was... Ow!
I had let my mind wander and a weak sting to the jaw brought me back quickly, I had floated closer to the mass of jellies and right into one of them! "Jeez, sorry there..." I burble out, noticing a numbness to my jaw spreading as I couldn't close it anymore. But before I could turn and swim away, something odd happened, with a quickness not usually seen of the current riding jellyfish, it swam right into my mouth! I try to spit it out but the numbness to my jaw kept me from so much as a weak blow as it slide down my maw and... didn't do anything? In fact, instead of the stinging that i'd expect from swallowing it, I got a very strong taste of... grape jelly?
Before I could ponder this more though, another few jellyfish had suddenly appeared around me and as if following their fellow jelly's example, pushed their way into my mouth once again! This was weird and I wasn't gonna hang around for this! But again, as I turned to swim away, I feel more stinging all over me suddenly as the swarm of jellyfish had nearly completely surrounded me and the numbness quickly spread throughout! My arms and my legs soon became too numb to properly move and my tail, though still capable of propelling me, couldn't do much more than a leisurely pace, a pace that the jellyfish overtook in no time as the swarm descended upon me.
More and more would push their way into my maw and into my belly, growing it quickly as their squishy selves rapidly ballooned me to such sizes that even if my limbs weren't numb I doubt that I could have done much more than paddle! They kept coming, hundreds more floating over the horizon as if called by some unknown force and soon joined the jiggling mass. Then, a rip, a forceful wobble, and my belly came free from my swimsuit all aglow with the many jellyfish within. Just how many were there and why were they doing this?!
It felt like hours as they continued to stream in, all dutifully swimming into me and keeping me growing and glowing. But soon, thankfully, they started to slow down, the torrent of them soon turned into a trickle as a few dozen more lazily made their way on over to me and joined their comrades within this orca's belly. As the last one slipped into my maw and the taste of grape jelly started to subside, I try to move once again, but only get a numb wiggle out of my limbs. It was more than before but it seemed like whatever venom these jellyfish had was starting to wear off. What wasn't wearing off though was just how immense i'd become, my giant, glowing belly towering over me and just like the jellyfish before, lazily swayed in the current.
It wasn't long before I started to wonder about the next problem... "How was I gonna get ashore like this?"
