Hope you don't mind my weighing in.
I agree that it is vague. Now, I can't get on to people a whole lot for vagueness (the prologue of my novel tells the reader very little), but you need to have enough information to keep people interested.
To be honest, if I read this as a prologue in a book, I would not be interested in continuing. It reads more like a book synopsis.

Everyone has to revise at least once. :)
Again, this could work for a synopsis or book teaser, but it's a tad too skeletal for a prologue. I don't mean to suggest you have to say a lot in prologues. You don't. I've seen prologues range anywhere from a couple vivid paragraphs to a few pages, and they all worked.
