Haulsands is a reference to Hallsands, an abandoned village in Devon after a part of it collapsed into the sea in 1917: https://www.bbc.co.uk/insideout/sou.....allsands.shtml
Nowadays in the 2020s, only a few remains of the foundations stand, which you can only view from a distance as the cliffside is too unstable to be safely transversed: https://www.southdevonaonb.org.uk/e.....bay/hallsands/
Anyway, this was a really difficult part to draw since it struck close to home but hopefully this gives way more context and depth to the Gyermiads (pronounced gear-mids).

And awwww, poor lil Gullet crying on his first day at school. ;n; Dun you just want to pick the lil guy up and hug him and tell him everything will be okay? ;w;
Gosh, I hope everything will be okay in the end when we come back to teh present again. TwT I want Gullet and his family to be back together and happy again... But that's probably not going to happen... Not for a while as long as Gullet has amnesia and as long as Gullet can turn into a destructive kaiju. ;n;
And this story has gone so differently compared to the first incarnation of this story. But gosh, you have grown into such an amazing story teller and comic artist. You really should be proud of yourself. ^w^)/b
