Wax-based Derwent. The core is relatively fragile and breaks inside easily, and the wooden part is way too brittle and porous (also why the core breaks often). I need to replace my pencil sharper - I have a feeling it's another reason why I break them often.
There is nice palette though, especially vibrant colors. But the actual core color sometimes doesn't match with the one on the "dull" side of a pencil. You should test it on a paper first. The paper I used is for mixed media and has medium-size grains, thus it's hard to apply smooth colors and gradients.
