Blackwatch, a covert ops division of Overwatch that seems to never stop working. One particular night everything just seemed to go wrong on a mission which not only stressed the group out but the commander of Blackwatch himself, Gabriel Reyes even more so. With a frustrated sigh the commander entered back into his office where his secret partner was sitting on his desk. A youthful looking individual with the sweetest smiles he'd ever seen but he knew that his lover was not human, far from it actually. Walking over he pressed his forehead to Vesper's with another sigh. He felt defeated right now and could use some rest, he has been running on so few hours of sleep these last few nights. A soft voice caught his attention and pulled him from his thoughts. "I take it the night's mission didn't go as planned? Worry not, there will be many more chances ahead of you to try again." This helped relax the other as Vesper stood and walked over and sat on the couch, pulling his legs up and patted his lap for the other to join him. Reluctantly, Gabriel joined him and laid his head within the other's lap, his beanie being removed from his head so Vesper could run his fingers through the Latino's beautiful darkly colored hair.
"These missions are stressful enough without the team messing up the stakeout. We didn't even get a chance to get anything done. It happened too far and all so wrong." The commander grumbled as he relaxed, enjoying the touch of his lover. Vesper was right and he knew he was, there were other chances to take these people down, he just had to plan everything just right. His mind wondering back to plan making for several long moments as he stared almost blanketly. That's when the voice of his partner broke him out of his head, a soft but sweet hum. Something about Vesper's voice always put him at ease, the creature was an eldritch being from a whole other realm but he found himself so relaxed with them and loved them dearly. He never thought he'd be one to settle down with a relationship but here he was, in one with a being far beyond his own comprehension.
"You're too good for me I swear. Why would a creature of your stature love a mere human such as myself? It always will make me wonder." There was a moment of silence before Vesper chuckled and shook his head at the other. There was so many reasons behind the love he gave the man. "You need not worry about why I love you like I do. Just know my love will always be eternal and forever. You caught my eye when I first came to this realm and over the time we've spent together I had grown fond of you to the point of love. Love is something not even a creature of my being can control and I accept that it is out of my hands. You're my darling mortal and I'll always love you Gabriel Reyes."
