Every Shadow goes through a form of puberty at some point in their existence, despite being immaterial creatures. They find an item, fuse it with, and their appearance may drastically change as they gain new and intricate powers and abilities. The creature known as Noctis however is a bit different. A Reaper attempted to claim the life of Azura, God of Darkness and Fear, obviously, they failed, but this did prompted an idea to the cruel God. He took the Reaper's cloak and fused one of his Shadows with it, this shadow became the entity known as Noctis, a wraith-like being that can shape its claws in to blades, becoming Azura's personal assassin, sent to hunt down people the God personally desires gone. These people are haunted for several days, weeks or months, as Noctis will slowly tear away at their sanity and leave them into a paranoid broken mess before finally claiming them.
