Servanus grew up within the eastern side of the See of Khir deserts. He did not know his true parents because he was raised up by a human man named Abraham Kalixo. Abraham took Servanus in when his mother died at child birth and his father to which he was told went by the name Setra Opium, abandoned him, cursing the one he saw as god for taking his love. Servanus's father wanted nothing to do with the child that took his wife, seeing him as nothing but a ill omen in their life of previous fortune. Abraham Kalixo was the doctor to deliver Servanus and took pity upon the abandoned child when he found his father gone, no signs to return. Taking it on himself to raise the kid, Abraham took great care in teaching the child skills that may aid him in life. One such things Abraham taught Servanus was how to create potions and alchemical reagents that could be used for other purposes. Abraham was surprised to see Servanus was a bright kid, able to pick up what he taught to him well. Abraham was happy to have Servanus be within his life, he had lost his wife to child birth as well, his kid to illness soon after, to have another chance to raise one made him the happiest man. In turn Abraham forged Servanus a special metallic band, saying such a thing would grant him fortune, a reminder of how much Servanus meant to him.
As the years went by Abraham grew weak, and eventually unable to properly care for or raise Servanus, being bed ridden most of his days. The illness that took his child, was soon to be taking him, that much he knew, it saddened him to leave his new child behind in this world just like his last father. But Servanus wished not to see his father perish, he vowed he'd find a cure for him, even if he lacked the money he would find a solution. So Servanus set out, doing his best to find a way to gain the gold he needed to help fund a cure. While in town looking for work Servanus bumped into a shady looking man, a bag of gold falling from his cloak between the two. It was as if time stopped, both eyes upon the shiny prize laying there. The man dived for the gold as did Servanus, the shady man just short of grabbing the sack as Servanus got to it first, but in turn he grabbed Servanus vanishing into the dark of an alleyway. The man drew a blade to silence the child, but Servanus held onto the gold and stared into the mans eyes unwavering, "How can I earn gold like this?" He said with fierce determination that the shady man knew far to well as someone with little to lose and an unbreaking conviction.
The shady man let Servanus go, introducing himself as a Tabaxi named Pyke Semtix. He was a member of a group known as The Fate Weavers, for they forged their own fates as well as the fates of others. Servanus thought the name was kind of weird but he was laughed off by Pyke as he brought the kid to their base of operations. There was a good band of folks, rough, tough, and gruff but capable in the ways that they were. There was a couple Aj'Sneji and various other races about to which Pyke pointed out those that stood out more. There was Bottle Top a large Aji'Sneji that towered over many, the muscle of the group, he didn't seem too bright but he had his moments of insane wisdom followed by a reminder his intelligence was akin to that of a brain damaged shrew. Bottle top seemed to have joined because he was good friends with another Aj'Sneji known as Path Finder, who joined because he was down on his luck and needed a pick me up. He was pointed out to a half orc named Axe Grinder, a fighter so capable in nature he was told to be able to gain a surge of adrenaline twice over compared to a normal man. Axe Grinder despite what his name may have entailed he was a kind fellow he just liked axes, he only joined for the coin to buy more, he also said he liked cutting heads off with them but that was swiftly brushed over by Pyke (Just don't be on his bad side he told Servanus). There was a female Goliath named Michelle Kemberly who didn't feel like using code names, she was the last of her family so it mattered not to her if people knew her true name. Michelle joined to cause chaos wherever the group traveled in order to weed out a certain deputy that was responsible for her loss in family known as Deputy Anders. The Leader of the rag tag group was a Buconis Raknid that went by the Web Mistress she was the one that came up with the name of the group and said all those that came to her did so due to fate. She organized every raid, every road block and robbery, all the plans she forged went well. She was a cold and vile sort, no witnesses, no Survivors, No mistakes only perfection was allowed.
Servanus did what he could for this group, staying at their main base while others went on missions, making potions to aid the group, keep those that returned alive and well. The Web Mistress took note of his alchemical genius and asked him to work on a particular mixture for her, one she had not been able to perfect. Servanus unsure on what it was did his best to work on that mixture on the side, the pay she gave him clouding his worry for what it was. When the day was done he got coin and rushed home to aid his fathers recovery. The older Servanus got, the closer he was getting to a cure, he would soon find a way to fully cleanse his dad of this disease that plagued him instead of just delaying it. But fate was a cruel mistress, and Servanus ended up becoming ill to the very same disease his father contracted, he was unsure as to how this happened, and as he struggled to town for ingredients he found many of the townsfolk had fallen ill to the same disease. He was shocked, how did so many get so sick so fast? He used his strength to return to the Fate weavers to ask for aid, only to find out that the Web Mistress had set Servanus up, used him to perfect a toxin that could wipe out whole cities if she so pleased. Servanus was furious and he took out a prototype weapon he had forged in his pass time, pointing the contraption towards her with shaking arms. The Web Mistress taunted Servanus, saying he didn't have the guts to shoot her let alone the strength. But the poison coursing through his veins was quickly being purged from him, a tattoo of a serpent appearing upon his arm as he pointed the pepperbox at the Web Mistress and pulled the trigger.
The band his father Abraham had gave him shattered into powder as the gun went off, echoing throughout the cave, the muzzle exploding into shrapnel and gravely wounding the Web Mistress. She cried out in pain, the others of the group rushing into the room, the Web Mistress shouting at the group to Kill Servanus, while Servanus shouted at the Web Mistress for being the reason his father was sick, the reason his home was suffering. Michelle took Servanus's side, she knew what it was like to lose family, the fact her boss was doing that to a child angered her. Pyke joined too, and soon so did everyone else, they cared a lot for Servanus and they did not want to be responsible for the death of a whole town despite their previous acts of murder and pillaging wrought by their leader.
The Web Mistress shouted in anger and fled the scene swearing revenge one day, rushing through a secret passage and eluding the group that followed after her. Servanus rushed for her notes and with the aid of his friends was able to forge a cure. He rushed home to give it to his father but alas he was too late, Abraham was no longer among the living, passing in his sleep with a smile on his face, as if the band shattering was his last grace to help Servanus upon a new path.
Servanus returned to the rest of the sick, using his knowledge to cure the denizens of the small town. There was peace for a small time, Servanus mourned his father and worked alone at home, visited by some townsfolk grateful for his aid, like Baker Josiah Sanford and Blacksmith Kirk Kentucky who their families had known Abraham and Servanus well. They were nice folks, and the only few that tried to Defend Servanus when a group of "Guards" showed up. They blamed the sickness of the town upon Servanus the leader of The Fate weavers, turning a good few against him. Servanus was shocked to hear this, by no means was he a leader of his friends, nor did he wish to cause ill upon the town. But it seemed he had a hefty bounty upon his head and had to flee the city, meeting up with the Fate Weavers to inform them all before they escaped the pursuers clutches.
It seemed to turn out that the Web Mistress survived her wounds, went into hiding and was now tarnishing the old gangs names further. While on the run Servanus accepted that his life was forever changed from this point, but he vowed he wouldn't let the world decide how he lives. The Gang escaped from the See of Khir heading slightly north eastward to escape the law. Servanus was told not to keep using his name, however he refused, just because the Web Mistress had ruined it he would not disgrace his father by hiding the name he was given. However while on the job he accepted the name Pepper Box, a name that he hoped would show the Web Mistress that he was far from gone.
Servanus traveled around to various cities towns and locations looking for information on the Web Mistress but could not find anything about here whereabouts. It was frustrating however while laying low in a town he ended up bumping into someone, a somewhat young Dragonborn woman. She stuttered a little as if shocked to see who Servanus was as if she knew him. This made him panic as he quickly grabbed the woman, darting into the alley with his gun held against her. He wished for her not to make a sound but she while freaking out tried to reassure him things were ok. Apparently the Dragonborn lass was a relative to Kirk Kentucky, her name was Larenthia Kentucky, distant due to her not fully sharing the same race as most of the family which were elves. But she mentioned that she had heard stories, good ones of what Servanus had done to aid their families home town. Servanus let out a small sigh, relaxing himself and apologized, he had been living on the edge for so long he didn't know if he had allies besides his group.
The two got along nicely, her even offering him a place to stay at her families estate, the Kentucky's were a well known group of Smiths and traders, current owner of House Kentucky was Howard Kentucky. Servanus when introduced, was done so with open arms, the family very kind, concerned for his well being and showing it greatly. It really did move him to tears, he was forced to grow up quickly, that he never really had the chance to accept what had happened throughout his life.
Servanus visited the Kentucky Estate many a time after his missions with his squad, eventually as the visits became more frequent he fell for Larenthia, the first woman outside of his squad to show him genuine kindness, ignoring his past. So he proposed to her, asking if she would be willing to make him the happiest man alive. To his joy she accepted, asking to live in a town away from their own, something small they could grow old together. Servanus could ask for nothing more, however he knew he could not leave his other friends, the Fate Weavers without a leader. So Servanus told them what he planned to do, and that should they wish to stick together then Pyke would be the new leader. The gang gave Servanus a big old group hug, and told him they would split up and lay low, to let him live his new life in peace. But that he would always have a place in their hearts, and as their leader.
As time went on Servanus and Larenthia purchased a home in a distant town, enjoying the peace the small place provided. Eventually he gained good knews from his now wife, that she would be of child. Servanus had put his past behind him, and now was making a better future for both himself and his wife, soon to be kid as well. But fate would not see to have Servanus happy for long, many years later while walking in town, buying food for his family a man spotted Servanus, a cloaked figure. He was able to pick out the unique sort moving about in town, this man was Griff Crawly a rogue that belonged to a group of "Heros" or Mercenaries for hire said to be good called The Iron Dragons. Griff met up with the others of the group Markus Tenebrium the mage. Daniella Fallix the ranger, Groog Bear Claw, the barbarian and their leader Khanumbra Aspertine, The Paladin. They made a plan to attempt to capture Servanus for his bounty after confirming that he was their guy. The plan was pretty simple, set his place a blaze and smoke him out, they knew how dangerous he could be so they weren't taking any chances.
But things did not go as planned, the flames could not be controlled and they spread to the rest of the town setting it ablaze. In the "Hero's" panic to control the situation they tried to calm the villagers out but to no avail, thats when the rogue killed one townsfolk that was blaming them. In fear of their reputation being ruined the leader ordered the rest of the gang to silence the witnesses. In the end they ended up wiping out the town in their fear, but from the ashes of his home Servanus got up, horribly burned. The body of his wife was under him, he was barely alive but she sadly did not make it.
From the ashes of his now wrecked home, the remains of the now dead community he was happy to be a part of, he dug out his six shooter gun from the remains of his villa. He was going to hunt those bastards down, hunt down all loose ends he left. He had everything taken from him too often and now he had nothing left.
