Another sketch I churned out this afternoon. For the most part I'm trying to sketch faster, more spontaneously and decrease the amount of erasing. Feels good.

The anteater girl keeps wanting to stay hollow eyed. Eyes are usually my favourite parts to draw, but she's already estabilished herself like this in my head and nothing I try feels right.

Sadly, it wasn't Smurfs... it was the internet. ;___;

And yeah, it's definitely a neat effect. I hate to say it, but it kinda reminds me of Pyramid Head from Silent Hill. :c

Now that you mention it, I see it. I think it's the shape of the head and that it doesn't quite fit the humanoid body. It looks pasted on, if that makes sense? Not all animals suit the anthro look and I have to admit that anteaters are one of them.

Oh, I think she looks perfectly fine (and pretty!), but there's definitely a more alien quality to her. The farther you get from a "strictly humanoid" anthro in body style and proportions, the more the mind says "This is a little weird." ;)

She is definitely an interesting looking character, but in a very good way. Hey look, earth colors >:3

The style works wonderfully! It really emphasizes pose and fluidity, something I really ought to work on. This is so rad!
