These are just notes that I thought I put down for a Mecha Parody Manga series I’m doing with Bluesharky38!!

So let us begin talking of your idea. Now I've never started a thing like this before (But I am trying with some of my own things), but I am an expert writer so I do know the stuff we should work on :)

The three things we need to work on are:

The World
The Characters
And the Story.

First the world. You've already came up with some great ideas for it, like with how it started with the alien ship crash and how it turned the world's people into babies and some other fantasy creatures. But I'd like to know some more stuff about. Like all the remaining humans now babies, if so how has the society adapted to being small and needing diapers? How do the mechs work, who made them, what are their powers and different versions be like? Also how do the other new species interact with the babies? Also what are some of the new creatures? I remember you said birdmen, but what else?

The main thing is we want to have some rules established about how the world works. That way we can have an easier time creating characters and making a story in the world.

I don't want overwhelm you with the other two just yet. So will start with the World Building, then move onto the other stuff later.

Ok let’s do this!

Not all the humans were affected by the grand boom. There are some humans that stayed the way they are. We’ll society adapted well to it with the other species taking care of the little ones. Also the grand boom also affected some alien species turning some of their populations into babies as well. The new species interact with the babies well because they still have a bit of their intellect, and they treat them well since most of the other species were human.

As for species, there’s bird people, goblins, Oni, monkey people, slime people, Kitsune, elves, tiger people, and a lot of other species you would find in fantasy anime and RPGs

How the mechs work? Well bit buddies are made with science and magic and usually take the form of robotic stuffed animals when not in use for combat. They have their own AI and can interact with their pilot partners, when they have to battle bit buddies then turn into their giant mecha forms, and their pilots then go inside. They are built and upgraded by Bit builders! And each bit buddy is customizable like a gundam, and there’s so many kinds, there’s ones you pilot with a control panel, ones that mimic your movement like in g gundam, ones that can combine like getter robo, ones that use the souls of people like evangelion, ones that are legendary beasts like in wataru, and much more!! There’s also mechs that aren’t bit buddies for the older pilots but they aren’t that unique

As for the world, because of the grand boom the earth has become this mystic land of both sci fi tech and fantasy magic. With different kingdoms looking over different land. Each kingdom has their own military with normal soldiers who pilot the normal mechs and their own division of infant pilots with bit buddies (which is a parody of the whole child soldiers thing you would find in most mecha anime) which they call, their Infant-Try (because puns) that help defend their kingdoms from rogue forces or other kingdoms.

As for the rules on how the world works, I feel we don’t need so many rules on how the world works, it is a parody of the mecha genre so we don’t need to take ourselves too seriously.

A few things I am wondering, is do those turned into babies still grow or has their aging been halted/slowed down by the change? Also are all the babies mech pilots, or is it that only they are capable of piloting the mechs? If there are ones that don't pilot are they just treated as regular babies and sent to daycare during the day or can some of them get jobs?

I like the idea of the other species having some of there's turned into babies, as the the diversity of ways of piloting mechs. Maybe each species could use one of the many piloting methods and have their own views on how to do things? Like the ones that use the G-Gundam motion tacking way could be fiery and energetic, while the ones using the Eva style could be serious and moody(but in away were it's funny since it's babies trying to act dark and depressing).

Also I love the kingdom idea, since that can lead to a lot of different creative mechs. Sort of like what Kyokai Senki or the first half of Gundam 00 did.

And that is a good point about the rules. Since this is a parody type show we don't need to be too strict. Let's just try not to make up rules only to brake them in the next scene, I find that rather frustrating.

Okay cool. Now let's move onto characters.

Now you already given me a good start for our main hero, a boy who got turned into a baby and is now trying to find his mother. I feel we can do a lot with this, like maybe before the grand boom happened, he was growing distant from his mom. Like maybe he had reached an age were he wants to be away from his mom since others act like that's lame to love your parent.

But now that he is a baby, he needs is mother more than ever and I feel like this could work for motivation as well maybe have him learn that no matter how old you get, you should always have a loving parent in your life. Maybe we could even throw in some flashbacks to build up to him finding his mom?

This is all a good start, but I think we need to add some more. Like some stuff like personality, quicks, flaws, desires, interest. Basically some stuff to make him feel more human per say. We know his goal, but what does he do to try to achieve it? What are his morals, does he make mistakes and how does he handle them? Also what is his relationship with his mech? How do they meet, what was the boy doing before he meets his mech?

Of course this is just for the main protagonist. We still have to make other characters and ask these kind of questions for them. But will save that for next time, right now let's just figure out the main baby and their mecha.

That could work, ok so before the grand boom he was a high schooler and a member of the kendo club. (So he’s kinda skilled with a blade) after the grand boom, he never tells anyone his actual name and tells them to call him by his nickname, Zed.

Zed feels lost in this new world and tries to find his mom who he felt distant with before the grand boom.

He is a goofball, has a major sweet tooth, enjoys video games, anime, tokusatsu and magical girl series, drinks way too many bottles of milk and juice, sometimes cries in his sleep, and is really appreciative of the caretakers in his military base. He tries to act cool (and Fails miserably at it) feeling like that’s the only way he could be a good mech pilot, he kinda feels insecure about himself and tries more and more to accept and be more open about himself further in the series. Kinda helps if we also make him a parody of the cool mecha protagonist.

His bit buddy (robotic stuffed animal that can transform into his mecha) is Kumamaru. A robotic teddy bear that’s also a rare type of bit buddy, as in he is one of the rare types that can change into different types. When outside of combat, Kumamaru helps the caretakers take care of Zed and sleeps besides him (hey he is a stuffed animal afterall! Kumamaru is a nice bit buddy trying to understand others and life as well. In the beginning he’s the only one to know about Zed’s act of being cool. He also acts like a big brother and isn’t afraid to tease him.

Zed goes around kingdom to kingdom, planet to planet trying to find his mother and tell how he feels. And also helps out anyone he can from doing basic deed to protecting them from evil. That’s the kind of person who Zed is a person who despite all his silliness genuinely wants to help people and will take a break from finding to help someone out or enjoy a good time with his friends! How does that sound??

Zed sounds like a good person, and his inner doubts and attempts to be cool make great flaws and can be rather relatable. His buddy sounds good too, could do well at balancing out our hero.

I do wonder how he goes from city and city and planet to planet? But will worry about that when we get to story details.

Now we need to make some other characters. A good way to start is too look at the Hero's Journey character types. Basically, we can use these archetypes to help create characters, by making them to fill the different rolls. We don't have to only have one in each category, but we should at least have a character for each one.

We can also look to some other mecha tropes to create characters, like a rival or a turncoat, or other stuff like that.

For your convenience, I'll list the types so you can look at them later. Though I do recommend watching the videos for good example.

The Hero

The Oracle

The Mentor

The Trickster

The Threshold Guardians

The Shapeshifter

The Shadow.


Try to think up some characters to fill these rolls, as well any mecha trope characters you may want to use, like a char clone or an evil doppelganger that becomes good later.

You don't have too come up with them all at once. Just telling me about one would be fine for the next note. Oh and I would love to see some baby girl characters as well, maybe we could even include a magical girl themed one.

Ok I have an idea for the mentor character and one of the female characters. Ok so the mentor would be this wise old monkey samurai guy named Master Saru who would help Zed and others improve his combat skills for when he’s in the mech and when he’s outside the mech fighting soldiers (because hey even mecha anime has some non mecha fights) it would seem like his teachings seem like they don’t make any sense at first, but when his disciples look deeper they can find the meaning of the lesson. He is kinda a trickster, loves tea and calm scenery, telling some of his stories , and his personality is like a kind grandpa who sees his students like grandchildren and is kinda a parody of mentors like master Asia!

Ok and the female character would be named Holly Roxs. She would be a parody of tsundere characters like Auska. Before the grand boom she was a high ranking teenage soldier, now she’s a high ranking baby mech pilot in the military she works for. She hates not being taken seriously, which sucks for her since who can really take a baby mech pilot seriously am I right? She like ice cream, manga, comfy clothes, and her Pacifier helps soothes her. She secretly likes being babied but she wouldn’t admit it as she sees this as an act of weakness! So her development would be her finally accepting this of herself that wants to be babied and during that development does things that she wouldn’t dl before like wear footie pajamas when napping and watch some magical girl anime openly with Zed.

Her bit buddy is Tracker! A robotic stuffed German Shepherd that sees himself as Holly’s subordinate and helps her out during infiltration missions!! When in mech form Tracker is mostly known for long range lasers, missiles, guns, and carries an energy spear.

How does that sound??

Master Saru is pretty good. Him monkey works great with him being mischievous and his wisdom would make for some good lessons. Not sure how often he would show up, with all the traveling Zed will be doing, but I think we can still do a lot with him. Maybe we could also have him mentor Kumamura at times. Maybe even have him mentor the other pilots.

Speaking of which, I really love Holly Roxs! I normally can't stand tsundere, but I think the ideas you have for her are amazing. The development for her is so great and I think it be really fun to watch her try to be serious but fail since she's so adorable. Which also gives her relatability and room to grow (though not literally, since baby lol). I'm curious to see how she interacts with Zed? I imagine her being pretty harsh to him at first, but eventually becoming close friends. Her bit body is also pretty cool, fits will with her and her personality. I bet the Bit Buddies would have some pretty fun interactions?

Overall I think these are great characters for the story. Though have been wondering something about Zed? Is he traveling by himself, or is he with some sort of military/organization? You know, something that would have a place like a home base, like the White Base from Gundam or something?

Also one thing I think we do need to figure out is who is the big bad(s) of the series? Like we need to have someone who stops Zed from finding his mother, either intentional or unintentional, the latter being something like causing conflict that gets in the way of his search. It doesn't have to be someone trying to stop Zed, but we should have something for the other military to fight? Be it some evil monster(s) or perhaps one of the other kingdoms causing conflict for the heroes. Maybe eventually have an ultimate threat the makes all the kingdoms work together at the end?

Anyways I hope you like my input. I think your doing great coming up with stuff. Also let me know if you want me to try coming up with characters .

Yeah I really like my idea of the the bit buddies! I don’t know why but magical robotic stuffed animals that turn into mechs seem like a fun idea to me.

Yeah they would have some nice interactions.

Oh yeah and I had the idea that in the beginning of the story Zed originally was wandering on his own but then after an encounter with Holly, he then becomes a part of the same military organization that Holly is in. And yes He would live in the home base and learn cool sword skills and magic.

And you know, since this is our project I want to see you try to make some of the evil organizations, to fit with this being a parody I think they should be a balance of Silly and serious depending on the situation. I can’t wait to see what you would come up with for the villain organizations!

Some stuff I have off the top of my head is maybe the evil organization is manipulating the other kingdoms to attack the heroes, that way we can have some brief battles with different kingdoms. Or to do that we could just have some misunderstandings while the heroes are travling?

We could also have some villains be related to the ship that caused the Grand Boom. Perhaps these aliens were hoping to making the humans weaker by regressing them to babies, which ended up backfiring since it made all the mechs. Oh and to add to the parody, maybe the ship exploded because someone spilled their drink on the controls

I'm trying to keep the the humor tone for the parody, so it is a little tricky to think of a good nemesis for a bunch of babies? Maybe it could be something little kids/babies find scary but is really not scary at all to most people. Like some kind of giant toy mascot or someone that hides in a closet. Like the big bad's throne is inside of a closet and we usually don't see them come out of the dark

One thing I would love to include is a big 4 group of villains. You know like an elite group of baddies that represent the four elements. Maybe they could be babies with mechs based on animals like the four heavenly kings (Dragon, Pheonix, Tiger, and Turtle that comes with a snake), and each of an ability to hurt the heroes.

Like the water one could make their diapers wet with their attacks, the fire one could throw huge tantrums, the wind one could cry really loudly, and the earth one could maybe make it so the babies can only crawl and not work?

I try to think up more stuff for the villain group, this is just what I got for right now :)

Also I was wondering how we want to handle death in the story? I think it may be too much to have babies die, so what if instead of being killed they get banished to the Time Out zone! You know something like the shadow realm from Yugioh, but they usually come back after a really long time or something. We could also just have defeated babies get captured and put in a jail crib and put to bed early. Something that doesn't seem that bad, but to a baby would be very awful and scary.

We need to make sure their are stakes, but with it being a parody we can still make the concept silly and not too dark.

Ok, I came up with two more characters! Ok the first one is named Hiro Ryuken. He’s a parody of the hot blooded fighters like Domon. He was Zed’s childhood friend, a normal human teenager who enjoyed martial arts because of martial arts movies and anime and after the grand boom, he was turned into a baby tiger person. Sadly his parents were apart of some of the humans that died during the grand boom, but luckily he was adopted by Master Saru and is raised and trained him along with Master Saru’s biological grand daughter Usu . His hot blooded nature and eagerness may make him seem a bit odd to a lot of people. He can use chi weather inside his mech fighting other mechs and outside his mech when he and the others are fighting soldiers that aren’t in mechs. He has one major goal in mind: to become a great martial artist in and out of mech and make Master Saru proud. He’s also trying to understand the weird ways of Usu with her being his stepsister after all , and help her out.

His bit buddy is Kyoji, a robotic stuffed dragon that when not being Hiro’s mech is actually pretty laid back and kinda lazy, but he think’s more things though unlike Hiro who’s sometimes prefers to go in fists blazing! When in mech form Kyoji has dragon flamethrowers, Ninja Star shooters, and has G gundam style motion tracking, so Hiro can use his martial art skills and Chi .

So what do you think of the first one??

While the goal to be the best is over done, I think it works great for the kind of hero we’re parodying. Also maybe early on we could have him have a bit of a temper or be easily distracted and reckless. To go with him being a Tiger cat baby now.

Also I really love the dragon. Such a wonderful well done reference to Swartz. I so many times for jokes, with the help of KYOJI!!!!!

Also who might his stepsister be? Is it the other character you came up with?

1. I was having Master Saru be a bit over the top like master Asia.

2. Him having a bit a temper would work.

3. I’m glad you like Kyoji his robotic stuffed dragon bit buddy that becomes his mech. I was going to name him Kyoji Swartz but that was a bit too on the nose.

4. His stepsister is Usu and she’s not the other character I’ll talk about next but I will work on her later after I finish thinking about some final details for the other character I’m creating. (thinking of making her a parody of Himiko from Wataru)

5. Just to make sure you get every detail, you know bit buddies are their robotic stuffed animal helpers that are created with science and magic and that they turn into mechs right? Just wanted to make sure. Ok the second character is ready!

Her name will be Muffin! She used to be a teenage girl who was in the same school as Zed, she was in tech classes! After the Grand Boom was turned into a cute baby fish person that looked like the hybrid of a human, an orca, an eel, and and octopus and decided to join the military and become a bit builder/mechanic. Her skill with some machinery has given her the nickname “The Cyber Shauta” . She’s a parody of the mechanic/silly scientist character and the mecha fangirl .

You name a mecha series, she has definitely seen it, she really enjoys mecha anime and can talk about it on and on. She also makes bets with Holly every now and then and makes her do cute things like snuggle a plushie, and have her throw a tantrum on purpose so she can get into a wholesome scene where a caretaker comforts her when Holly eventually loses the bet (which happens most of the time.)

She also enjoys swimming ever since she became a fish person. Like any anime mechanic/inventor she also has some weird quirks. For example before taking a nap she’ll spin around and backfill on to her bed for no reason, she also likes to wear really thick diapers which are so thick even trained fighters like Zed and Hiro have a hard time even crawling in them, but she can maneuver in them just fine!

She has her bottles filled with chocolate milkshakes, her crying and tantrums can cause little tidal waves, can power gadgets with her Eel electricity, and can be a bit greedy when it comes to sweets! She doesn’t have a major goal, she just wants to build things and have fun!!

Her bit buddy Is Hino, a robotic stuffed animal that’s a hybrid between a hawk (Taka), a tiger (Tora), and a grasshopper (Batta). He also acts like a big brother figure and is also helps Kumamaru take good care of Zed and Muffin. Hino is also one of the few bit buddies that can also change into any mech type where as only some bit buddies can only change into a few.

Oh goodness I think you just made my favorite character! :D

I really love her a ton! Muffin sound like so much fun and very adorable! I can tell you based her off Mezool from Kamen Rider OOO (who happens to be my favorite greeed), and I while I am having a hard time picturing her with the eel and octopus parts, I'm sure we can figure that out later :)

I do think she may need a flaw or two, since she is sounding rather perfect. Maybe we could have her have a tendency to talk to much, which would annoy the others at times. Oh and since she is such a mecha nerd maybe she some times gets to interested in the other bit buddies, a little too close for comfort? Basically a bit overbearing at times, since she just get's so excited. Maybe this could also effect her battling, were she gets so into it that she may not notice others or what's going on?

I do like the idea of her making bets with Holy, gives a mischievous side but in a cute way. I do wonder what Holly is betting if Muffin loses? Could be funny to see her lose and get embarrassed at times? Or we could have a bet to far and both babies need to apologize and learn from it?

Also I think it's fine for her not to have a major goal. She seems like more of a secondary character, so I think it's okay to have her be a bit static and supporting other characters. Though I would like to have some development at some point. Not sure what at the moment though? Maybe we could have her at times feel bad for getting too passionate and maybe learning to it's okay to express her love as long as she doesn't go too overboard?

Oh and maybe one of the reason she gets so passionate is before the grand boom, she was often teased about what she loves. But now the world is basically her favorite shows so she can't help but be excited?

Also regarding her love of thick diapers, I think that could lead to some humorous scenes. I wonder if the reason she likes them is that they can hold more water for her, fish parts? Though I do hope she uses swim diapers when swimming? Maybe she could use that to help beat the water big 4 villain?

As for her bit buddy, I think their pretty cool. It's a great OOO reference and by giving it multiple forms it could also be a cool getter robo reference? Since being able to turn into any mech is a bit overpowered, maybe we should limit it to three, one for each OOO's animal or for land sea and sky? Also I love the idea of him being a big brother type character. Maybe we could have him be rather protective of Muffin and often struggles keep her safe when she gets too excited?

Overall I love this character so much! I think we've gotten a pretty good cast of mech pilots for the main cast. We may want to start thinking up some side characters, like the caretakers for the babies, as well maybe some of the other kingdoms?

Oh and what if for the main villain (or at least for a rival villain) we have them be a kid/teen that can pilot mechs? I think it could be a great big bad for a bunch of babies to fight a 'big kid' as their nemesis. Then maybe their mech could be way more realistic and gritty, as a stark contrast to the babies more color toy like mechs? Like maybe something from Gundam IBO or Metal Gear Solid?

Speaking of villains. I think if we could pick a villain group(s) from another mecha show, like Zeon, Dinosaur Empire, Dr Hell, or something, it would make things a little easier for me to think up some baddies :)

Oh I just thought up an idea for one of the adult good guys! What if we had a professor/nurse called Professor Heaven! Like as a little parody opposite of Dr Hell from Mazinger? She could like work on the repairs as well as taking care of the babies after battle?

1. I’m glad you saw the reference, I got inspiration after reading your fan fiction. (Don’t worry Muffin still has a humanoid body with legs, maybe she can spawn tentacles from her back.)

2. I did put that she was a bit greedy with sweets as a flaw and your flaw works too!

3. The whole bet idea will have multiple adventures about them doing bets.

4. That’s a good idea.

5. That’s a good reason for her passion

6. Never thought of that, it could work

7. I meant different types as in different types of systems you know like a control panel or G gundam motion tracking.

8. That could be a good idea for a rival!!

9. I’ll let you choose with mecha villain group to parody, maybe it can also help if you pick more than one.

Oh yeah Heaven should defiantly do bad puns. I'm still think her up, but I think she could act as almost a baby siter/daycare worker type character. Maybe she could have a soft spot for the Bit Buddies in their plush form and always tries to hug them. I think she be one of the team's scientist the works on maintain the mechs, maybe also helping Muffin with some of her projects? Oh and maybe for her backstory, she was never able to have her own kids since she could never find a good man and she would always mess up interviews for adoption and doesn't always do great with caring for the babies.

I feel like we may won't too avoid mother like characters in the group, since it may make Zed's quest not hit as hard. Or we could maybe make Heaven's attempts to be motherly actually cause problems for Zed since it reminds him of his missing mom, which could lead to some nice conflict and development from both characters. This mostly off the top of my head, so feel free to add to it :)

And I think I have come up with an idea for our villains! I think we should base them off super sentai type villains/alien invaders and maybe give them a really long ridicules name.

So far I'm thinking of a name like: The intergalactic interplanetary reconstructive genetic regression research collective super nova gigantic invasion empire Sargresso. Something like that?

For their backstory is they go around to planets, regressing their inhabits and studying their DNA and collecting their genes, and to add to the parody they dress them up in silly baby costumes and turn all the food into candy before stealing it. The strongest of those regressed are collected and made into mech pilots and such. However, this empire is not the most wisest aliens and often make dumb mistakes that have left much of their members not too bright or mature.

When they attempted to invade Earth, somebody spilt their drink on the controls and blew up the ship, causing the Grand Boom. The ship was carry many genetics which is why many became anime like.

Much later, since the rest of the aliens got lost after the grand boom and wouldn't ask for directions, they eventually return to earth to try to conquer it by manipulating the many kingdoms to try get them to fight eachother. However, due to their incompetence the manipulations don't last too long and are easily foiled by the heroes.

Some of the characters in it I can think of include:

The evil emperor in the closet:
Basically are big bad ruler of Sargresso. However, instead of a throne room, he is always in a closet with his arm and crown horns sticking out, along with glowing eyes. Sort of a parody of the monster in the closet. Not sure what to do for his personality yet?

The Big kid rival:
I mentioned this before, but basically a rival character who is a kid older than the babies who is always trying to be mature and edgy. But because he is still a kid, this doesn't really work, but does seem to be scary to the babies. Perhaps to make him as an opposite of Zed, they usually always look cool, but always feel like their not and just seems moody and frustrated. He hates the idea of parents and can almost act as a mirror of how Zed once was. I think this could lead to great conflicts and moments of growth with Zed. Oh and maybe for his backstory, them thinks his mother abandoned him so he hates her. But actually she had sacrificed her self to save them from something they didn't know off (possibly Sargresso). Not sure how they end up joining the aliens, maybe their one of the oldest test subjects and that why their older than the other babies?

Next our the big 4, which are 4 of the best babies Sargresso has recruited. I'm still trying to think them up, but I think each should be one of the 4 elements and act as a rival to heroes.

We can probably swap around the personalities of each with each other as well who they rival, while were trying to figure things out.
Also I would love it if we can redeem the members of the Big 4, perhaps acting as character growth for the rivals that redeem them?

Like I think the water one should rival Muffin, perhaps resembling the animals of Kamen Rider Poseidon or be predatory/rival animals of the animals that create Muffin? Perhaps she could secretly be how Muffin once was, but took a must more negative route to deal with the teasing and can be a bet of a narcissist bully, Often teasing the other babies with her water powers to make their diapers wet and hard to move in. Then eventually Muffin's excitement and passion is able to change her and help her learn to not bully others for not understanding her interest?

I'm not sure for the other 3 yet. Maybe you could pick which element would rival the main babies, as well some details and features I could try to include? We may also just want to have the big kid rival Zed and have another baby main character or something? But either way is fine since I'm sure these bad babies can give our heroes plenty of trouble equally?

We could also have a duo of comic relief aliens that try to do the manipulating but usual fail because one of them does something stupid or something?


That's what I got so far. Hope this helps with the characters, feel free to add to things or come up with other characters.

Ok those are some amazing ideas! Professor Heaven’s character is amazing an can help with Zed’s conflict , Sargresso is a cool idea, the rival sounds good, and we can add more to them and the others later.

Good luck with what you add. I think once we make a few more characters and concepts, we should move onto developing the world and kingdoms.

Oh and a quick idea I had for muffin and how her mech can change how it’s piloted. What if she usually changes it when she discovers one of the other ways during a fight and ends up struggling to use it at first, which can lead to chaos during battles as well as a flaw she can overcome. Mainly learning to be patient and not rush into new things.

Ok, I just thought of something for Sargresso’s wind elemental pilot. Ok so the wind elemental can can be someone for Hiro to overcome. Like Hiro the wind pilot Fuka also took martial arts, and her parents also died during the grand boom, but unlike Hiro Fuka wanted to revenge against this new world and works with Sargresso. The fuuny thing is that she’s probably the nicest of the 4, looking after some of her teammates, and despite wanting revenge, she has a code of honor when fighting the others, and can get a bit fussy when her team uses underhanded tactics. But deep inside she has this inner sadness and loneliness, which makes her crying super sonic because what she actually wants most is a family. I thought of making Fuka a parody of the honorable villains with a code of honor!


Also her bit buddy Swartz is a robotic stuffed White tiger to contrast with Hiro’s bit buddy Kyoji being a stuffed dragon. Swartz originally sees himself as Fuka’s servant/assistant nothing more and nothing less but then later he starts to see himself as a big brother to Fuka.

I think her being more honorable could works well. I think she could be the newest member of the big 4, being the only one from earth while the others our from different planets. Or if you want them all to be from earth (which could make for better backstories), we can just say they were recruited secretly after the Grand Boom.

Also I love her rivalry with Hiro, I think it works wonderfully. Though maybe to add to it, she can be much better at martial arts than Hiro for the most part, as to make his goal of being the best a lot harder. Also I was wondering, is she a human baby or is she part animal like Hiro? If we do make her part animal, maybe do something bird like or maybe a bat? Just something that would fit the wind look. Maybe if she's a bird we could make her diaper resemble an egg shell?

I think her wanting revenge on the world works great. Maybe to add to her rivalry with the heroes, she often let's her jealousy of family show and maybe gets annoyed by Hiro acting so fired up and silly at times.

Oh and I love the tiger vs dragon with the mechs, very awesome. :D

Also for the water elemental, maybe we could call her something like Selena and have her mech be a sea serpent/water dragon?


So I few ideas I can think off at the moment, is that the earth characters should be very cocky, overconfident, and lazy. Basically a contrast to Holly's strict military and often angers her by their skill despite barely trying. For the earth guys development, maybe something really bad could happen that really shakes their world view and maybe Holly takes pity on them and ends up helping them learn to take things more seriously? Could also act as good growth for Holly as to help not be frustrated by his power and/or learn to not be so serious?

I'm not sure what species they could be, maybe human baby or maybe something earthy like a armadillo or a reptile/dinosaur or something? Maybe like a triceratops or something?

Maybe for names we could call him something like Brad, Chunk, Gary, or something like that. I do think this one should be a boy since we already have two baby girls in the group.

As for the earth power, I think maybe it could act like a gravity attack that makes it impossible for the other babies to stand and forces them to crawl? We could also make it earthquake like, constantly shaking the ground and making the babies fall over? This could be his reason for being so cocky, as his ability is so powerful that he rarely has to put up much of a fight.

Ok, that could work. Let’s make him a Lizard baby and call him Chunk, because it’s a fun name! The whole laziness because of his strong ability is a nice touch. And Holly’s character development to not take some things so seriously is a good idea. And Chunk can be the most Simple in the group because earth abilities are the most simple out of all the other elements!!

Ok next is the fire elemental baby, and I think we need to make a new baby character for the good guys as well so that way the fire baby has someone to rival.

Yeah I think we could use one more baby for the heroes, possibly one that shows up later? Maybe we could base them off the quiet cool type character that doesn't talk much, possibly having their bit buddy do most of the talking. That silent baby idea is a good one I think I will call him John. He would be like that one klutzy friend that is really supportive. Like Muffin, he also has no major goal. I think since he doesn’t talk much we could have some adventures where his bit buddy is busy and he would have a hard time communicating with the others, maybe the reason he doesn’t speak much is he’s a bit shy around others and nervous about talking to them.


His bit buddy is Scrapyard, a robotic stuffed dog that’s was created with the parts of other bit buddies and scrap metal, kinda like something similar to Boss Borot from Mazinger Z.

I really like the idea of Scrapyard. Not sure if he should be a dog, since Holly's buddy is already a dog, but maybe he could just be dog shaped and not really be any animal since he's a scrap chimera of sorts. Though we could keep him as a dog and maybe have dog like mechs be the main force for the military Zed joins.

On that note, do you think we should have some mass productions units for the heroes and villains to use? I'm thinking for the military our heroes are on, could be dog like, sort of like weaker versions of Holly's mech. Make them like the Jegans/GMs of the world.

As for Sargresso, maybe have their mechs be a cross between a Zaku II and an alien jellyfish or something? They would probably show up later once Sargresso starts getting more involved, maybe have them beat the current enemy grunts?

I'm not sure what the grunts for the other kingdoms mechs should be? We can figure that out later when we start developing them more. Maybe we can make them references to other grunt suits, like Leos or MechaBeasts?

I guess we gotta work on ideas for kingdoms now, right?? Okay, I just got an idea for a kingdom in our series based on SSSS.Gridman/SSSS.Dyzanaemon.
Well, here’s how it would go. The kingdom would look like a normal Japanese city, which would confuse our cast at first. But then you would see humans, Oni, kappas, and cat people, etc. but then of course there would be Kaiju running amok, and people don’t see it like a big deal because of their own heroes. Like the kingdom would feel like something out of Tokusatsu. There’s a little cafe where they would hang out whenever they visited the city run by a nice flashy guy who’s a space pirate taking care of his two friends turned baby brothers who dress like a samurai and a pharaoh (I’m sure you get the reference) when enemy soldiers do crimes while not in their mechs a hard boiled soldier comes and beats them up.

The king of this kingdom would be a chimera who likes mayonnaise. And we would have a side character there who’s a baby and instead of his bit buddy turning into a mech, his bit buddy would turn into a bracelet that would turn him into an ultraman / Gridman like super baby that fights the Kaiju

So yeah basically it would be a Japanese city kingdom with a bunch of Kaiju and Tokusatsu references for fun, what do you think??

Regarding the story, I think need to think of reasons why the heroes stop their at times, as well as how this kingdom interacts with the others in the story? Also should it be the target of one of Sargresso's manipulations? We could also have the aliens not able to do anything because all of the heroes there, and maybe instead have like some one off kaiju villains or something? Or maybe we could have Sargresso accidentally summon some of the Kaiju at somepoint?

Overall I think were off to a good start. Regrading the other kingdoms, I think we should have a maximum of 6 or 7 kingdoms, as too many would make it a little harder to make a story in.

So what are some of the others you thought up? Also if you want me to think of some, maybe just give me a good genre/troupe/show to make a parody of and I'll try to think off something :)

I can work with that. A few things I can think off at the moment is maybe it could be themed to look like the village from Wataru, around a mountain with a bit of Neo Japan influence. For their mechs I say we have them be similar to the chibi style of the Mashins, with some of the silliness from G Gundam. Maybe include lots of animal themed ones that are very Kung Fu like? Not sure if we want to have any mass produced mechs, since I feel for this kingdom it be better to have each on personalized like G gundam?

Perhaps at some point we could have them be tricked by Sargresso to fighting, because the aliens told them someone ate their lunch? (Some silly that fit hot blooded characters). But since their one of the more heroic kingdoms, it doesn't take too long for the heroes to sort things out?

Well this is where Zed and Holly meet Master Saru and Hiro, so this would be before Hiro joined the Military. After that adventure he would joined the military and be a part of our main cast. And your idea of a kingdom and it’s mech design is cool and clever!

Also quick question, we’re gonna have some non mech fights in the series right? So that way the mech fights don’t get boring. Plus I have seen of mecha anime like gundam have non mech fights, I think I even remembered them even fighting mecha without mechs.

Though I do wonder how much we can make babies fight? Since their bodies are usually not to flexible, but I think we could still do some great stuff. Could also work really well for our big 4, with their elemental abilities. Also how would babies like Holly fight? Like I don't know if we should give her a gun, unless it's like really cartoon and toy like, such as a pop gun or a squirt gun? If not that, how might she fight?

As for some other kingdoms, off the top of my head some ideas I have include: Maybe a train themed city to reference Might Gaine/Brave series and Shinkalion, a super serious city that maybe references Evangelion (But in a funny way that really can't be taken seriously to the viewer), and maybe some kind of flying city for the bird people you mentioned that can maybe reference stuff like macross or something?

2. I have an idea for The Evangelion type kingdom! We would have humans, angels, and demons. Oh and some of the Babies in that kingdom aren’t adults turned into babies but they are created in a lab to pilot the mechs, because the king of that kingdom was a former soldier of Sargresso! And he would kinda feel guilty for what he did and do the best he can to help, in odd ways. And of course the babies would pilot Eva unit like mechs! What do you think??

I think that's some great idea for the EVA kingdom. We could do some interesting stuff with some the babies who were lab made and never got to know what being older was like. Better yet we could have some be confused about Zed's goal to find his mother since they never had a mother. Then we could have Professor Heaven try to be motherly to them, but they act very mature and serious and don't understand being babied? As for the mechs, what if we make them similar to the Evas, but their all super deformed (SD) and kind of clumsy? Oh and since the pilots feel the pain of the Evas, what if they way it happens in this world is the mechs just pinch or spank them, or maybe just scold and tell them no, maybe even make them use their diapers? Sort of a feel the pain, but not really in an actual harmful way or something?

Overall I think these are coming together nicely. I do like how some of the kingdoms seem to have a champion mech pilot, could make a great characters of the day/arch thing. Then at the end they could all join the heroes in the final battle !

Any case, I have a few more ideas for characters before we move onto the next step.

First the fire member of our big 4 villains. Since they'll be the rival to the mostly quiet John, I think they should be rather loud and want lots of attention, often times trying to hog the spotlight with their fiery and impatient personality. Maybe they could also be the last one of the 4 to be defeated/redeemed, that way we can have him go ballistic in wanting attention. For the backstory, maybe we could either make them a neglected child or one that was really popular and constantly got attention so they get mad when they don't have the spotlight?

Then maybe Baby John could eventually teach them that it's okay to not be the center of attention and solitude can be nice as long as you know you have friends. As for what species they are, I think could either be human or maybe some kind of wolf baby, since dogs like to get attention? Not sure what the name could be? Maybe something that a person who demands attention would have, like a rich kid or a rival or something?

My other idea regards the final battle with the evil emperor in the closet. I was thinking they could have a giant mech covered in shadows so it looks more like a monster and can shapeshift into what the babies fear most. Then once the babies overcome their fear and defeat/heavily damage it, it's revealed to be a rather flimsy barley armored mech with an old man controlling it humorously. Sort of like Dr Wiley at the end of Megaman 2 or the wizard or Oz?

This would be the true form of the emperor and I was thinking his backstory could be something like him being immortal and trying to make his body into the perfect being with all the collected genes and regression experiments. Not sure if we should redeem them, but it could work either way? Maybe at one point when Zed is giving a big speech, the emperor just falls asleep briefly as a joke. We could also have a joke about the collection of different genes to be partially about making the perfect pair of pants? lol

So what do you think? Feel free to make changes or suggest stuff regarding these. We may also want to come up with a female assist type villain to rival professor heaven? Maybe we could even have a one off battle we're they get turned into babies temporally and fight in custom mechs before turning back?
