I have not forgotten about the remake or the uploading of the old pages! Just been having A Time of things and forgot how to journal heh.
This whole comic was written before I got sucked into ship war stupidity so at the time I was on the "wrong" side of the Spyro x Cynder ship...because I shipped them! Haha yeah there was a time when that was taboo, before Dawn of the Dragon came out. I've heard the writers made the ship canon because of the fans and if that's true I have regrets haha. :D Not really, at least not anymore. :D
I don't have much to say about this page in particular. All I can see is that I misspelled "ancestor". ;_; Every time I think I'll go back to hand lettering my comics because I hate having to use the ProCreate text editor, I see something like this and reconsider. :D This was also the point where I realized I could fold pieces of paper to help me get those straight panel lines. It's probably not a surprise that I can barely use a ruler haha; no joke, it was not something anybody thought to show me growing up in school, I couldn't read them and couldn't do the kinds of math that required them heh. These days I do miss a bit the kinisthetic process of preparing a page for comics.

It was a tiny fandom back then and I literally had nothing else to do but argue with people and post theories on Spyro message boards haha. Even then though I was a multishipper and I wanted more gay dragons too. :D
I like that there's a version of Cynder for everyone haha. Long evil Cynder voiced by Cree Summers will always have a special place in my heart.

I remember this one! But I never knew there were ship wars in the spyro fandom! then again, I was conveniently into spyro X cynder at the time anyway, so that's probably why I didn't notice (and also spyro x elora on the downlow ;)) I've always liked your spyro comics, and I hope you've been doing better in the health department these days! <3
Oh they sucked to be a part of, just stupidness on all sides (me included) haha. These days I have embraced that I like most ships, have a few faves, and can probably be persuaded to like even a most hated ship with enough incentive, but I always try to at least do the bare minimum of respecting other people liking what they like. If I don't personally care for their ships, it's profoundly easy for me to just not engage haha. I wish I'd known that back in the day and that more people knew it now but that's fandom for you.
