Here is a little map of my little world.
And Here is the dreaded lore dump nobody needed. I'm an ancient history dork so it's basically just that kind of thing.
None of this is required reading it's mostly for my benefit, so I don't forget the basics of my setting.
I think my pictures can be enjoyed without all this fluff, but it's here if anyone is interested. This is just some fun for me so I don't mind feedback.
Where to begin? Backstory (very condensed probably);
In the past there were four kingdoms; The canines of Parhmose, the felines of Kyareen, the hooved beings of Samarkra and the rodents of Meesin.
For a long time there was an uneasy peace between them. Then a horrific war between the canines and felines erupted. This great and terrible war lasted many years and left both kingdoms in ruin.
The war was then swiftly ended when the previously passive Kingdom of Hooves swept in with it's armies to claim the devastated lands.
During the war when Yared was still a teen, he was recruited into the White Wolf's army. A fanatical army commanded by a viscous leader; Malfas. This army was brutal and dishonourable in it's methods. They revelled in their cruelty but as the war turned sour the White Wolf army went into hiding to avoid punishment for it's crimes.
Yared was still young but coming to terms with the part he played in the conflict. After years witnessing the terrible deeds of his comrades, he defected and revealed the hideout of malfas's force to the Hooved armies.
Malfas and his some of his companions are believed to have escaped the slaughter, fleeing to the kingdom of the rodents where his lies in wait. To regain his strength and rebuild his army.
A decade later we arrive at my setting, canines and felines now live amongst each other scattered throughout towns and cities in the Hooved Kingdom. There is peace, kind of. Yared arrives in Sarkooda - keeping his past to himself - trying to get by.
The World;
Meesin, Garagus and Satarix are under the rule of the rodent king (he is a rabbit dude), while everything west is now ruled over by the Queen of Hooves (she is a cow lady) and her subjects.
There are other towns and villages but I haven't thought of those too much. It's all pretty vague. Samarkra is like a vast ancient Egyptian city, very impressive. Alberix is like a Celtic Briton/Gaul fort town. etc. It's mostly bronze age looking city.
It's mostly just mammals that are anthro in this world so fish and poultry are on the menu, though that's not to say there aren't lizard people etc in some far undiscovered land. These people haven't done much exploring.
Eating other anthro creatures is forbidden, though that won't stop some bad people doing it.
Who knows what lies beyond the wall of teeth, besides stories of a strange and dangerous people; the Umman Manda. (The Umman Manda are one of my favourite ancient history concepts, so I had to include them in some way)
Will I draw any of this stuff in future? I have no Idea.
Are rabbits rodents? no, but hey oh well.
That pretty much covers it. If you read this far, congrats and sorry! Unfortunately I can't give you back your time...
If you have any questions, silly or serious here is a place to ask I guess.
