I'm finally starting to make my fursuit! I'm only doing a partial for now, starting with the head. Instead of messing with flat foam and making the suit look cartoony, out of proportion and, well, normal, I'm opting for a more realistic approach. It all starts with a taxidermy lion's head (roughly $40 after shipping). No, I'm not a lion, but it's the closest in shape and size as I'm going to get. Alterations, as you will see, will ensue. I'll take you through my step-by-step process of this suit because, whereas I would love to get commissions and make oodles of money starting a fursuiting business, etc, I also know that starving artists need inspiration. Who am I to deny them? So here we go, kittens, off to a new start!

I think the suits are just another form of expression. I feel most comfortable when I'm showing on the outside how I feel on the inside. Yes, many suits fail in proportions, but it's all a matter of taste. That can be side about any artistic endeavors. It's all about personal style and taste.
