
Fajita steak and taco beef game day chilli
Here’s a great chilli Best made in the slow cooker as to seal all the spicy and smoky flavours that await you on the big day of the game with a side of cornbread and tortilla chips!
Here’s what I used:
1 pack lean ground beef
1 small beef shoulder
1 large can diced tomatoes
1 small can tomato paste
1 mini pack cherry tomatoes
4 cloves garlic
2 onions
3 bell peppers
2 cans beans (red kidney and black)
1/2 bag frozen corn
1 can chopped green chillies
1tbsp chipotle tobasco sauce
1 pack club house chilli seasoning
Here’s how I did it:
1-cook ground beef along with cherry tomatoes in a pan on high heat until no pink then drain fat+tomato juice from pan
2-add half Chili spice to ground beef with veggies and combine on medium-high heat then cover and simmer on low heat
3-add canned tomatoes, beans, corn, tomato paste and ground beef+veggies to the slow cooker
4-re-heat same pan to high heat then add garlic and steak and braise until steak is no longer pink in middle
5-add braised steak to slow cooker then add green chillies and chipotle Tabasco, then stir to combine
6-cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or high for 3-4 hours depending on your model of crock pot
7-serve with shredded cheese and sour cream with side of tortilla chips and cornbread
8-enjoy!
