This gouache painting features a roadside near Glenrock, QLD while we visited the area for some day hiking. The rolling fields of crops really enhanced the natural beauty at the base of the mountain. Usually this rural area is a lot more brown and dried out however the recent years of rain has revitalised the landscape.

Wow, even know this is in Australia it looks so similar to the area where I grew up here in the US.
The flecks of disconnected greenery in the foliage, the imperfectly straight power pole, somehow these still carry photorealism beneath the impressionist style.
Makes me miss home.
