Leaves flew from their branches as Volare shot into the sky, glistening in the sunlight. The feel of the air rushing over his scales was pure euphoria, something he never tired of. He closed his eyes, pushing his wings to carry him faster and faster, beckoning the winds' assistance with each flap. Volare was yanked from his bliss by a searing hot blue bolt soaring over him. Startled, he looked up just in time to duck as a second jolt sailed between his antennae.
