Heather wants to hear a story to help her go to sleep.
She's Lauren's and Liane's daughter from the time that Lauren got turned into a stallion. So she's a zebrunny. While she got Liane's form and eye color, her fur color and markings she took from Lauren.
This is one of two pictures done of her by
xeladaria and the art is © to her.
(I liked both the sketches she showed me so well that I couldn't choose and so she did them both!)

Aww! She's so cute! She looks so sleepy, and she's practically lost in those huge, baggy pajamas she's wearing. I love the little tiger toy she's got, too. I always loved being read to when I was a kid. My parents always picked the best books, too. I got the real Winnie the Pooh stories, not that Disney slop, and how many kids were read The Hobbit before they were ten years old? It was the best part of my childhood and, fictional or not, it's wonderful to imagine a kid these who'd want anything to do with books.
It's actually kind of cool that you actually follow up on pictures like the one you mentioned, and that we get to see all of Liane's children. They're all so darling!

Thanks! Bedtime stories are the best thing!! I loved being read to and then later being able to read the stories for myself. Pooh may have been the first and my sister still has our copy of Now We Are Six from back then. That and The Wind in the Willows. And again, the original, before it was Disneyfied. I believe that if you can hook a kid on books right off, you've done them one of the largest favors possible.
I love bringing out Liane's kids, it's a lot of fun! I'm glad you like them. There are more on the way too.

Lucky you! I wish I knew what happened to half the books I loved when I was a kid. I agree with you on getting kids to like books, too, and not just because I happen to (try to) write them. Television and video games have their place, but there's something special about books and it does a kid no harm at all to be encouraged to read and to enjoy reading. I wish more people would see it that way.
Ooh, then I shall definitely be looking forward to seeing them! The ideas behind each of them are always so much fun, and they're every bit as lovely as their mother. The only problem is you're making me kind of want one of my own!

We still have a set of the original Oz books too. Seven or eight at least. I don't know... I think my Mother was responsible for that. She was really good at keeping stuff like that. Kids that love reading just have a natural head start in life. It makes school and so many other things so much easier for them!
*blushes* That's so nice of you to say! Actually I think the next one due will be one Liane fathered on Alonira. What a bunch of crazy, mixed up creatures we are. Female fathers, and half male mothers. where will it end???
So you're starting to want kids too huh? *giggle* I'd say I'm sorry about that, but I'd hate to lie to you. Anyway Niahm and Ciara would have beautiful children!! I'd love to see their daughters and sons!!

Oh, now I really am jealous. I've never had the chance to read any of the Oz books, though I've always kind of wanted to. At least the first book.
Aw, well there's nothing wrong with being a bit mixed up as long as everybody's loved, and I don't doubt for a minute that everyone is! Oh, and a kid from Liane and Alonira sounds like fun. I'll look forward to seeing them!
It's really tempted to make a kid or two, I'll have to admit to that. I'd never planned to give either of my girls children, but a little non-canon daughter might be fun to play with. Fox/rabbit hybrids are always fun, after all.

It's not the same as holding the book in yur paws, but you can read them online, or a bunch of them anyway at http://www.pagebypagebooks.com/author.html I don't see The Wizard of Oz there, but there's a bunch of other places to see the Oz books if you just google Oz books online.
There definitely is lots of love floating around in our little world. That's for sure!!
Out of canon kids are wonderful too. I would so love to see pictures of them. And even more so to read any stories you might write about them! That would be awesome!!!
