A bronze age Libyan cheetah, not exactly historically accurate, but good enough. Shame I had to leave out the fancy tattoos, but it would have looked too cluttered with the spots in the way!
This was yet another painting experiment where I mixed watercolor with tempera. I think I'm finally starting to understand how it works, and I have to say I'm VERY happy with the result. Considering how small this drawing was (it fit in the palm of my hand), it took an insane amount of time and effort, but the result has been very rewarding! Hopefully soon, once I feel confident enough, I can tackle larger illustrations as well, allowing me to polish the details even more.
Overall, this drawing has been an amazing learning experience! I now have a better idea on how to tackle trees, grass and fur. Hope you like it! ^^

Beautiful cheetah!
As for tattoos and other markings, I've done bit with temporary markings. One of my caracals, her ears and tailtip aren't actually reddish, they're black, she just uses a henna-like plant to dye them for fashion. A friend did a cartoon of her caught in the rain with her boyfriend domestic cat looking askance at her while she looks nonplussed, color running off her ears.

I might have said before but I reckon cold branding is a shout for Anthro tattoos, either white fur, or held longer to expose skin for tattooing
