A demon based on a wolverine.
Illo done many years ago for an anthology of Hanno and Loris stories written by Brock hoagland and printed in small digest form by silverfox publications.
I don't believe many copies were ever made, and as I worked so hard on these, having now found them again after so many years I wanted to them seen.
The original art was all drawn while I worked graveyard shift for a security company where I had no shelter on a truck yard in december- it was so cold the ink in my pens actually stopped flowing and I had to put them inside my jacket pocket to warm them up to get the ink flowing again...
I could not wear gloves and draw, so my hands and fingers went numb while drawing, and I got all the illos done in time for the very short deadline despite the problems of drawing under the light of a single pole lamp.
I wish I could say my efforts were appreciated, but all I got were complaints that I did not draw enough action shots.
This and the other pics here were submitted to the califur program book for this year.

I did the artwork on a deadline of just a couple of weeks, and drew all the art in freezing rainstorms where my fingers were so numb I couldn't feel the pen in my hands and was interrrupted almost constantly by the demands of the job at the truck yard.
Considering the circumstances, I'm lucky I got the art done at all, let alone all onf it done before deadline and fully inked, and all the feedback I got was "well, I wish you'd done some actions shots".
No one ever even said thank you.
