One of several lighted animal figures that occupied what is normally the Butterfly House during the warm months.
Illuminations is a special holiday light show that is put on by Botanica, the botanical gardens in Wichita, Kansas. This is an annual event during the Christmas season. I went for the first time on December 29 to try my hand at some night photography. I hope you like these.

I like bokeh and agree that I could have pushed it further. I also had a companion with me and didn't want to futz around too much. This was my first time at the event and pretty much my first time shooting like this. Maybe next year I'll go back on my own and really take my time.
