I've usually posted photos like this in my scraps but I enjoyed painting this background enough that I think it's worthy of my main gallery! This is the background painting I painted with gouache and poster paints for my Star Marten illustration you can find here

It's a lot more time consuming to paint like this but I find the gradients of colour, the texture of the paper, and the organic quality of the paint gives such a lovely result!
