This gouache painting was painted on a different paper stock than I usually do - The same as my smaller postcard paintings. It produces a beautiful grain and lots of opportunity for texture and detail. This scene was taken after the floods in my husband's home town. The river was still very high historically but the clear sky made for a beautiful sunset reflection.
