So... here's a story I did not expect to write. I'm not familiar with travel blogs, so I wasn't sure how exactly to handle the story at first. Ultimately it wound up being a story that focused more on the travel part and less on the blog part, with the blog being used as in-universe justification for the travel. But that's not what I wasn't expecting to write. See, I've long had it in my head that my Erin character lost her brother in an incident that she was both officially blamed for and blamed herself for, and in an attempt to process her grief attempted to go on a vacation to a place she always wanted to visit but never could before. But I never intended to write this part of the trip, i.e. her fresh arrival and the catalyst for the attempt - previously my idea was always that she was prodded into doing it by her parents hoping to cheer her up. But now that I've written this short piece, I feel like my previous idea was just kinda flimsy. So I'm really glad at how this came about and how it came out. Sorry, I rambled a bit.
