These two have a complex history. Scrub the Jay was from the same town as FF6402, they were both driven away by the Egg Army and subsequently captured and conscripted into service. Though they never knew each other as civilians or refugees, 402 became protective of Scrub once in the Egg Army, treating him like a frightened little brother. After 402 had herself roboticized, the two of them both fell under the command of the feared Commodore Raucous the Raven. Their relationship changed as Scrub found himself Chief Bootlicker to the Commodore and 402 became her favored superweapon and multi-purpose liesure toy.
