That's how I feel about most Blizzard games. I stopped a large part of playing, but the guy is there in Stormwind and so on.. At any rate, they always do weird crap such as cheesy actor renditions. They have a Steven Ryback, who is supposed to be Steven Segall aka Casey Ryback in Under Seage. Then there's Harrison Jones, aka Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones.
Crap like that goes on all the time. What griped me is that they have a Moi'bff Jill, poking fun at that phone comercial with the little girl. "IDK My BFF Jill?"

Yeah I have seen in-game and when people on TV talk about the awesome things they put into the game...
I dunno just doesn't seem cool to me most of the time... I mean the game has a huge backstory and expansive lore that feels a bit ruined because of the the jokes and rips on star trek or what ever they feel like doing >>

That's the general down side to 'em. Public opinion.
If I ever listened to public opinion and took it seriously I'd have been in jail several times over. It's why I despise the common troll.
Back Story is one thing, after all I enjoy a good read, but getting like some people do who actually immerse themselves so much that they do nothing else does kill it for me too.
Sure, I play Star Trek, despite the humor involved. I didn't want to get involved in it at first because I didn't like the series or the movies.
Still, I see what you're saying.
You know, come to think of it, Blizzard actually never had a good game (Sorry, Starcraft doesn't count either for those of you fans) until Warcraft, but Warcraft ruined itself with repetition.
