Conway (Initial Public Release)
Hey friends of the sun!
We got something different today. Something I've chipped away at for a bit and something that has me as an utter bundle of nerves while writing this and the last couple of days.
I'm trying my hands at a Visual Novel.
It's called Conway and fittingly it (of course) puts you into the shoes of a newly recruited sailor on a late 18th-century merchant vessel. Drawn in by ideas of adventure and freedom that you couldn't find in the town you grew up in. The long voyages between ports leave plenty of time to get to know others on the ship with you and perhaps figure out how this newfound freedom will look for you.
The game will at some point contain adult content, but as of right now cursing is the only thing you need to be afraid of.
Naturally, I didn't whip up the whole thing in one go and it is very WIP for now, but you can get it for free over at: https://nomaxart.itch.io/conway

They're honestly just really fun to make. I didn't really expect much, like I've set time off for January to try both Oil painting and attempting a VN. I thought Oil painting would be the thing that captures me more, because it's just more art but different. But the VN has just been such a blast up to this point. Getting to think about the art on a grander scale with characters actually being in a place somewhere and having them interact and whatnot. Just really something to dig into.
