One day I came up with a character concept that I just had to commission.
On the left is Ash, a dragontaur who is the more dominant and serious of the twins, and is the one that decides where the two of them go. While Ember, a snake-based naga, on the right mostly serves as his tail, and tends to be more flirty and charismatic. The two can share each others' senses and control each other if needed (ex: Ember can see through Ash's eyes and control his body if allowed or if he's unconscious), however they tend to stick to each others' ends of their body. In addition to this "humanoid" form, they can independently transform into an anthro dragon and snake respectively, or into a feral form. Ash is capable of breathing fire, while Ember possesses venomous fangs and can lengthen and shorten his body as needed.
Rather unsurprisingly, they don't always get along. Especially when Ember is straight and Ash is gay.
Ash and Ember belong to myself (though I have leased out Ember to a friend in the past). Art is done by FantasyToArtt: https://twitter.com/FantasyToArtt

A finely fused pair of fellows! :}
I appreciate that Ember is said to be a naga that happens to be the other's tail - instead of just saying he's the dragon's tail, full stop. They both seem more complete in saying that one is a dragontaur and the other is a naga.
Also, I imagine they can never separate? For a moment there, the phrase 'they can independently transform' made me think they could TF into 'individuals', but I see now that you were just describing how one of them could appear anthro in their upper body, while the other sticks with the human look.
I love that the snake is more flirty. Serpents are great flirts, in my experience. :}===<

Thanks. I definitely consider them two of my more interesting characters.
I wouldn't say they can never separate, right now the only way for Ember to get away from Ash is to lengthen his tail. But the thought has crossed my mind of allowing Ember to temporarily separate from Ash from time to time. With regards to the independent transformation, Ember tends to use it the most, becoming a snake when Ash needs a bit more mobility.

Indeed. They come from a more fantasy setting, so I don't really have an exact length Ember can extend, and is probably only limited by convenience, as it would be like constantly dealing with a very heavy extension cord.
Useful for grabbing something in the other room, a bit cumbersome trying to go to the other side of town.
