So here we have Sasha eagerly looking into a display case of various bakery goods and desserts.
This was a lot tougher of a project than I first thought it would be. I actually had a first draft of this that I was partially done inking when I decided to redo the whole thing. I know the line art, coloring, and shading is a bit messy in places. I mostly decided to do this both to draw out an idea I had in mind and to try and challenge myself with something at least partially different. Having said that, I'm not too worried about the messiness at this point and rather content that I spent a picture thinking about how I would draw an object I really never had given much thought to. Hopefully as time goes by and I get more practice drawing new things and concepts I will be able to revisit this idea and convey it more thoroughly.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy it in the meantime.

"Um, excuse me, miss? You've, uh...you've been here for about ten minutes now. Are you going to place an order? Today?
Her face is priceless. Seriously, I wouldn't be surprised if her face got stuck like that after she finally orders! ...Well, as soon as she brings bread to mouth, I bet its even more hilarious.

The facial expression is absolutely adorable.
A very nice piece, although if I may be so bold, next time, you may want to add a slightly translucent layer where the glass is supposed to be. I know the glass is implied, and she is smooshed up against it, but the subtly may be lost if someone is just glancing at it.
Anyway, I digress, still an awesome piece of art.

Oh? Glad you think so.
As for the glass, I thought about doing something like that. But considering that the entire open surface beyond the shelves is shown through glass in this drawing, I figured that adding a partially translucent layer might be unnecessary. The only real effect I would see coming from doing that in this particular instance would be to make the background seem lighter, but not necessarily any more obvious that it is glass.
I did also consider adding some glare or reflections as well, but since the view is behind the display case, I felt it would be awkward. Though I do agree with the idea in principle, and if the angle was moved a bit, I would probably say that adding another layer would be for the best. So I do appreciate the remark
But either way, thanks and glad you liked it.
