Unlike regular Displacer Beasts, Damien possesses two extra pairs of retractable tentacles in his abdomen and can furl the tips of his main tentacles. In addition, he can fully project convincing illusions (kind of in a similar manner to Loki). So really what you're seeing is an illusion. The real Damien is sneaking up behind you.

He also tends to fight naked to shed weight, though considering his thick fur, there's not a lot visible.
