Kassara & Zhiera
Introducing Kassara, the teenage thief, and her Vostii sidekick, Zhiera. These girls are a part of the Tales of Morveria science-fantasy universe, with a medieval/renaissance/pre-industrial civilization theme. Their first story is in the PG-rated series, "Loyalty," and their first episode is #3: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50082066/
Kassara is a quick-witted girl who uses her beauty and skills as a thief to get what she wants. When that fails, she always has her pepperbox revolver and a frightening willingness to use it. Some might call her "extreme," and others might call her a "sociopath," and both would be correct. She's on a mission to reach the tropical region of Zhanai, in search of something very important to her, something she lost when she was young. Nothing and no one will stop her in her quest.
Zhiera is the other side of the coin, a sweet and gentle girl who was raised by the 'Temple of the Companions' from birth to become a high-end concubine. She's one of the few beast women who actually wanted to escape this fate, the others content to live lives of quiet luxury. She doesn't like to fight and conflict makes her uncomfortable, despite her prowess in combat by simply being one of the beast folk. Unlike the vast majority of beast folk, she doesn't want a mate as soon as possible and didn't want to surrender her body to the first rich guy who could afford to buy her. Instead, she desires to find a male whom she can have a deeply loving bond with. She feels comfortable with Kassara, and protected by her, despite the human's oftentimes less tactful approach to certain situations. Zhiera utilizes her Companion training in dance, acrobatics and memorized songs and poetry to aid in Kassara's money-making schemes, enriching themselves at others' expense.
Please note that they first appear as young adults (Kassara was 15 & Zhiera was 17 in Loyalty 3 (It's a PG-13 series, so don't get all paranoid about the contents!)), but here they've spent a few years traveling together; they're 18 & 20, respectively. I plan to age my characters throughout Tales of Morveria, and specifically "Loyalty" because not many people do that. ^^
