Huh I thought Star was getting into the teasing at work, that she might be a little more willing for the event. Guess I was wrong.

In an ideal world the event would be cancelled, That would be Stars best case scenario, but failing that, she doesnt feel nearly as nervous about it knowing she's got support. Although feeling calm about it today, might be completely a different feeling by Friday when it's actually time to get the show rolling

If you wanna make a comic but cant think of an idea, you would always try teaming up with a writer who can come up with the plot you draw the pictures and then you split the winnings. Im quite lucky in that i started Furry life as a writer not an artist so I have a million stories already in my head waiting to get down on paper, but not every artist can think in a story driven way and not every writer can draw, so collab together and do something amazing!

As to what Star said here is a writer that’s been working on a “reality” of a book for the past decade depending upon what kind of story you wanna go for I can take an inch and show you a mile, and you can work out how much of the mile is needed,

The genuine reason why I started drawing was because I wanted art to accompany my stories. But then the art got addictive so I turned to comics to combine the two

I hope Marellis will help Star with the event, it's HIS charity event, HIS plan, and Star didn't take the advantage when he was in trouble.

However, if Star see the charity event as an official mission, a warm-up or a training as a true taskforce member, and a little from her friends, I'm sure everythings gonna be alrirght.

Knowing how much star loves drawing vehicles.....The sequences with the buggies is just going to be delightful.

buggies don't have to be traditional vehicles... this IS a child charity event and bonus points may be awarded for creativity. Some may use this as an opportunity to amplify the messaging of certain charities as well. don't be afraid to think outside the car on this one as it might delight all of us. yes, that includes you too.

yeah! Dont worry I actually have that whole bit covered so yeah they're not really gonna end up looking like cars, but knowing how I struggle with angular things like armor and buildings and cars and sheds etc...that whole part of the comic is def still gonna be a challenge due to the angular nature of junk metal etc etc

Look on YouTube for Red Bull soap box racing. Those things are silly as heck. It’s fun seeing a hamburger being driven by bottles of ketchup and mustard racing down a hill. Could also give you some ideas for how the event could go for star.

Yeah truthfully watching that back in like 2015 was what gave me the idea for this coming up sequence in the first place :D

Super Star-io Kart. Its just a shot of her in the baby gear in a rickity soap box car, lobbing an empty ammo case (Impromptu "Koopa shell" prop) at the wheels of another derby car.

It would appear that event is going ahead. I'm sure it will boost Star's reputation and make her the most popular officer in the base. On the other paw she might receive too much attention and not enough breathing space.

Well, Star, guess there's just no getting around this. Still, you have support now, and who knows? Maybe some of the other competitors are like you? We'll just have to wait and see. Besides, like you said, you can't pass up a competition, can you? ;D

Man your characters are just so awesome, like, to the point I still hate Marellis, a lot! C:
But he still seems to forget that while star would have had some backlash (for being outed as a little), his career and life would have been destroyed, including possible jail time.
But, I put that up to how awesome you write characters, its beyond amazing what you do! :3

I want to see merellis get a redemption arc tough it may be the fact i know the person who own’s him irl making me biased. But even without all of that, i feel like he is more complicated than simply the bad guy. I don’t believe that in life, people are mean for the sake of if people have reasons to do what they do. I would’nt be surprised if marellis had something bad happen to him at one point in his life. I could also be looking too much into it… anyway, great work Star.

Yeah, that's true.

And plus, when it comes to his role in this comic, it's pretty much like people play villains for tv shows and movies. You can hate the villain, but don't hate the person playing them his or herself. It can be pretty easy to forget that there's a person playing that role.

That aside, perhaps Marellis will get some kind of redemption. Only time will tell.

Star has to do the charity event, she has no choice. And it's true that she is very competitive, except at Pass the Parcel if anyone remembers that.

He did plan it, and it did get too deep for him to stop it. The only real ways out of it I can see for Star is for her to be hospitalized through the event, or for them to go to war, neither of which I want nor foresee.

I agree with you that most of the time that's just an excuse, but this time, I think that explanation fits. It doesn't mean that the Marellis character wasn't an asshole to do this, nor does it mean that he should not get some serious consequence..... Maybe sharing a buggy with her? As "Mary"?.... but that's another conversation. ;)

You can't "make "someone dress up as a infant (regardless if they really like it) as part of your charity event and expect them to have a military career afterwards.

This will either hit a potential "Oh no, sudden fear/anxiety" button for her, the "Star is competitive and NOW MUST WIN" button, or maybe a bit of button pushing on both.
I always felt Star's got a bit of the Marty McFly "Nobody calls me chicken" response, but to competition, going from some of the earlier comics.

This is the part where I would talk about some of Star’s colleagues dressing up as well to take some eyes off of her or get into the spirit of the event but evidently Marellis is just as uncomfortable about it now as she was.

I worry about him still having a thumb on the scale, so to speak, especially after his ban from future events. Is this going to distort into one he will host?

I mean let's not forget he broke MULTIPLE laws, just to name a few, recording without consent, blackmail, sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual battery, and probably separate military charges that pertain to a superior abusing a subordinate. I am not sure about UK laws but in the US (as star has the recording) he could easily spend years behind bars, not to mention divorce and a dishonorable discharge

Loving the story line progression. The ears were quite expressive.

When I saw that this started 9 years ago I assumed I was over but it is still going on today and I love this so much it’s great and love everything in this and hope to see more.

Also I hope that star will be the STAR of the show and SHINE bright in the charity event.
