I got a wireless adapter (and spent a day making sure it worked) so now I have internet on my Arch Linux partition, hence I can draw again!
The first order of business is to get my drawing powers back from the void, so, by happen-stance, I drew Cactus from #furaffinity as practise. It's been a really long time since I've drawn anything with even the slightest hint of seriousness though, so I feel a little bad that he was my test subject.
Basically I only had this description to draw him (as well as colour consultation with him, because I'm friggin' colourblind):
"Cactus is a dark blue male lynx around 5’8” in height. He has lighter hues of sky blue covering the insides of his thighs, chest, and neck. He has steely grey eyes, his left one being scarred from protecting his sister during an attempted mugging. He has a heavy astigmatism and cannot be seen without his glasses on, as everything is fairly hazy from a distance with them off. He’s rather lean for his height, although this makes him very adept and agile, futher magnifying his catlike reflexes. His headfur is a dirty blonde colour, being quite long and straight as his bangs hang down past his jaw, and even longer in the back. He usually wears dark colours, predominantly black jeans and a matching T-shirt, although in colder weather he wears a olive green military jacket. His personality is somewhat prickly, owning up to the nickname his sister gave him, although he likes to keep his softer side hidden until he befriends someone."
