The point of view of a tiny victim inside Mirth's stomach, the place where many lives have been taken and broken down to be of use. This is when his gut is in its normal state, and as you can see because of its soft folded nature, it allows for the ability to stretch and expand taut to accommodate much larger 'visitors'.
Unlike the muscles supporting Mirth's jaw, the muscles surrounding his stomach area are very strong. This is to allow the stomach to hold in and constrict large food items to resist causing damage to any of the surrounding organs.

Running out of air would be the primary way individuals die in there, because more often than not, the prey are large and there is little room for air, as Mirth's stomach constricts around the body. It is only when the poor unfortunate is small enough to have a view like in the picture that there is the chance of a most painful gruesome death via chemical burning. The luck would be on their side if they happen to 'drown' between one of the stomach folds or pass out for one reason or another.
I don't believe there is an appeal for those in that situation, unless one fantasizes with an underestimation of the pain involved.
This predator would absolutely love it if his prey managed to live long enough to feel some of the digestion though, his sadity will be well fed.

I like the idea of brief pain before going to sleep. Is this pred a sadist or can you bargain for a painless death? I like the idea of begging too (I'm a sick fuck aren't I? XDD)
Am trying to deiced what I prefer out of acid or flesh absorb. Glowing tummy or glowing acids ahhh I can't chose

So fleshy and slick looking. I'm sure if you take away the acid then it would be very comfortable to stroke your hand on those walls. :D
A fun thought that have often haunted me is the concept of bioluminescent stomach acid. In that way the ones who enters the stomach will be able to see where they are, and also see how the stomach lining secretes it's digestive acids. At least until the acid gets in the eyes. After that it goes from uncomfortable to pure agony. Wohoo!
It doesn't look like the worst place to end up as a final resting place. But that's because I'm here, I'm sure I would have had an entirely different point of view if I actually ended up there.

Actually , the acids in the stomach would not hurt immediately, as it takes a while to corrode skin. So even with the acids it would be quite comfortable to the touch, if of course wet, warm and slimy is of interest to the person.
Glowing stomach acids? I am pretty sure such a thing would then make the entire stomach wall luminescent. I think I have seen a number of people who do glowy insides. Another way would be for the predators bodily tissue being somewhat transparent, so light from the outside can pass through.

You can never go wrong with wet, warm and slimy. <3
It's just the sensation afterwards that can ruin the mood.
Having glowing stomach walls would have given the prhase "go into the light" a whole different meaning. A little perverse twist on the whole death thing. A gullet with a glow in the end isn't exactly a way to paradise, even if it's a sure way to get to the afterlife.
But having transparent body tissue around the stomach would be a sure way to break the ice in a conversation if the creature have just fed. Specially if the meal was another person. It would highly likely be the source of awkward and unpleasant situations too. And not to talk about a perfect diet method for the creature's friends. Who wants food after watching a bloated body being taken apart inside of another being? A sick idea, but I like it. :)

I don't really do anything fancy. It is pretty much a case of knowing what look you want to end up with, and then keep playing with colour and techniques until it looks right. I started off with a lineart, then base colour, then blotted on shading, blotted on highlight colour (not the shine), added in veins, then proceeded to the fun of adding shine. After that it is all about adding in the liquids and other colours.
I try to use different hues in shading something too, like here i used orange as a highlight colour as opposed to the same hue as the base. It is not that easy to notice but it does make a big difference.

I usually just dick around not knowing what I really want my stuff to look like. I can tell planning it ahead makes a difference though. Thanks for sharing this, I'm going to have to practice this now. ^^
And on another note, I did notice the orange. Makes it look more fleshy than the usual neon-pink stomachs you see in Vore on top of all the other colors you used to make it look realistic.

Haha, actually I do that a lot too, just play around not having a clue about the end product. When it comes to specific things like this though, things like referencing and going " oh right! So that is what this and that should look like" is what I do most. I used endoscopy videos and other stomach images on this site for references to see how the lighting and texture should work, but naturally with my own concept, as not all stomachs look the same. :P
Aaaah~ Endoscopy. Yeah, come to think of it, art seems to come out 150% better when you have a reference eh? Not necessarily to copy from, but like you said, to get that "Oh right!" thing going on.
In all honesty though this pic here must just be a better reference than an endoscopy, since it looks pretty much real, and at the same time you can make out how it was made, if you look closely enough.
So did you use an endoscopy reference for the first two pics as well, and then change it to look like Mirth's gullet rather than, y'know, a human's or something?

Yeah, this icon is from a bad/funny/creepy icon contest I had. This particular one is by
boombox

Nope, there were ones that were even weirder. There were soooo many good entries.

*is pleased to be able to impress*
Thank you.
And actually, organic things like this stomach internet aren't TOO difficult to make , this is my first real try at it. Sort of played around with how I wanted things to look with the lining folds until I was pleased with the results. Pretty much the only detail on the lining are the veins, then everything else is shine and liquids. Most stomachs look completely different from my version.
Thank you.

This is mind-blowingly awesome! Seriously, you've made my day with such an amazing picture <333 The slime and mucous looks perfect the way it bubbles and ropes across flesh. You captured the viscosity quite well! And I love the discoloration of yellow areas in the stomach walls... It adds to that slimy nauseating feeling of being in a really foul place <3
It looks like such an awfully disgusting place to be (And for me that's a big compliment ) Warm, slimy and smelly... a veritable paradise for those who want to be eaten XD

o..o Wow. What else can I say? XD
It's gross.... and slimy. Everything it should be, haha! ^..^
Going further with this, I like what you did with the orange highlights, as you said. It really makes a statement towards making this place inhospitable, uncomfortable, and deadly. An awesome mix!
Definitely one of my favourite shots right here. o..o

Hahaha, it's particularly interesting, when you think about it! It really serves to illustrate the diversity of this fan-base. Which bodes well for freedom of artistic creativity... draw what you want; chances are someone will like it! XD
I personally like this naturalistic approach, favoring realism in the sense that a stomach is designed to break down food, not to provide comfort to it. Not to say anything bad about other styles, but my personal preferences are wholly embodied in this picture. So huzzah! XD

*smiles* This is why it's always advised to carry a flashlight when being eaten. The view is simply too awesome to miss due to darkness. ;)
Beautiful job with the shading and colors, along with the sliminess, at portraying that fleshy, life-like look and feel to it.
Just a fantastic job at capturing the imagination and desires to experience being there first hand.
