LOL it kinda is a preservative. By taking 1/5 geletin to chicken or beef stock you can make an edible glaze to make your food shine and its a pain in the ass!

ah ok. I think i'd still be worried if my food was that shiney lol. So what's the one in the back of that platter? It does look like head cheese i had seen on bizarre foods

Thats a pork tenderloin and some other pits suspended in the geletin its supposed to be tasty i think its crap personaly lol
