Omni runs as he breathes heavily, thinking to himself, "Those eyes... that scent... that... song..." he slows down to slow walk as he slowly then starts to cry, "... I... I'm sorry... I... I want to come back... I want to... feel you touch... your embrace... to be in your arms again... but I can't go back... I failed everyone... I failed you... I'm a monster..."
He wasn't paying attention where he was going for a moment as he slips and slides down the hill, into a slightly mucky bog w/ some nearby almost dead and old trees, Omni surfaces as he coughs and hacks before getting to the shore and huffs, "... I... I feel like I've been asleep for so long... yet I... I remember each day..."
He slowly gets out and continued to walk, "... always running... hiding... fighting... surviving... but... how long have I been..." he stops and looked at his forepaws and himself some, "... I... I can never return... I'm not..." he shivered and was shedding tears before sitting down to flop on the ground and cries before taking a nap.
Meanwhile, a small squirrel was running and scampering away from a threat chasing her, she breathes heavily as she stops a moment to catch her breath before continuing to run after hearing voices, she wanted to escape, but before getting to much farther, the branch she landed on snaps causing her to fall but lands on something soft.
She opened her eyes and sighed but then gasped as some tailless goblin-like monkeys, "There you are, it's time to return home." they laugh and walk closer while she cries and curls up before screaming for help, that's when she felt the wall she was against move as she gasped rolling back and looked up at large beast above herself.
The goblins laughter stopped as they see the beast moves to then face them, the goblins saw its presences loom over them as they then scream and run off, forgetting what they were doing there in the first place, the squirrel looked at the beast before it looked down at her, "... a-are you alright?" he asked as she nods softly.
"W-W-Who are you?" she asked as he lightly looked a lil to the side a bit, "I... uh... am called... O-Omni... did you... ask for help?" he asked gently, she gets up and onto his muzzle and bowing, "Y-Yes, I did, my name is Elida. You scared off those goblins that were chasing me, now I uh... I need help getting out of here... i-if you can please do so." she asked.
"... s-sure, I'll help you." he said, she climbed to ride on his head as he walked on through the woods, he then speaks, "So... why were they chasing you?" "I was kidnapped from my home 5 days ago from the Nahnect Woods... though the cage was covered, so I'm not sure what part of the Syemir Forest we're at." she said.
"I... have been here for a while... I can guide you out." he said, "Oh please, would you be so kind as to at least get me to the edge of Nahnect Woods? I'd be eternally grateful... I feel a bit safer traveling w/ you." she said, "You... aren't afraid of me?" "Not at all, why would I be scare of my rescuer?" she asked as he continued to walk.
Soon, they were out of the forest and on the open plains, where she remembers seeing the long path of grass as well as the sounds of a river while in that cage, Omni knew of a river and so went towards it, running while she held on, he was certainly faster as they got there before night fell and so they find a spot to rest.
After another day of traveling w/ her clues, like the smell of barn creatures and seeing some sunflowers, she then sees her home; Nahnect Woods, Omni soon stopped at the edge as she got onto a tree and up to a branch to then look at him, "Thank you, Omni. I am in your debt, I will repay you in any way I can, just name it."
He thinks then shook his head a lil, "Sorry, Elida... I... can't think of anything for now." "Then do visit again when you're ready, thank you again, Omni, farewell." she said before scampering off, "Goodbye, Elida." he said gently as he watched a moment more until she was out of sight, he then looked and started to walk off once more.
He continued for a while before finding a spot to rest as he laid down to sleep, suddenly he awakens to the sound of a twig snapping, but he then was covered by a net, he growls and thrashes before finding a way out, but the scent on the net was making him feel dizzy as he continued to struggle to get his head out to see some people before he soon passed out.
