Feel free to ask me anything about job searching, hiring, assessment, or Edwin! I will pick a few to respond to.
Notes:
-I am most grounded in the USA job market. I may be able to provide guidance for labor markets outside of the USA, but be warned!
-I am not in HR. I can tell you broadly about HR practices, but I am not deep into their world or mindset.
-My hope is that your questions focus on getting a job. I will likely ignore questions outside of that, excluding those about Edwin.

omg really, job searching help? amazing.
I have been job searching for almost a year, I currently work at an under-paying, unappreciated job, and recently found two jobs that I'm qualified for and applied to them. Is there anything I can do to show I am interested and not a random application?

I was born and raised in Arizona with plenty of jackrabbits jumping around. I first thought of creating a rabbit, but the more I read up on hares I found just how much more interesting they were to me.
For demeanor, he mirrors my private mood, which is typically grumpy and a little severe. Also, I wanted him to stand out from most OC's in the community who are most likely happy or a little sad. Grumpy seemed to be true to myself and would make him more notable.
Clothing choice is what I wear to work. I wear collared shirt, rolled sleeves (my arms are too long for most store bought shirts), and a vest. I only have to dress up from the waist up. Also, the vest is so I do not have to iron my collared shirt (that is a pro-tip!).
As for designing the look, I started with making him in Heroforge. HF is a free DnD figuring making website with plenty of options. I would highly recommend it for someone making their first OC/Fursona. I knew I wanted gray with a peppering of spots (I cannot remember why), but the big spot over his left eye was due to a face paint option in HF (one of the only ways I could get spots on his face). I liked that so much I decided to make it a mainstay of his character. What I have found is that having just a peppering of spots is rare for an OC, it is simple for an artist to apply (opposed to specific patterns, which are popular), and the left eye spot is notable because few OCs have markings on their face.
There you have it. Thank you for asking!
