Soooooo! This was a little X-Com fic series i had sitting around for a good while. Decided to take a break from Dust for a while and get this finished. Been quite the ride so far with the next chapter already underway!

To get it out of the way. Yes this is a Viper fic, no this isn't a smut fest or planned to be. Don't get me wrong there's some really good ones out there. But I don't want to deal with romance on this series, at least not as a central plot point. I'll have to see where the story takes me. But for the foreseeable future, no sex or romance. Vore maaaybe, I'm still very much undecided on that front as well. But I might tease it now and then. I'm still unsure.

Okay so, i've taken a lot of liberties with the canon of X-Com 2 you can thank some really fun mods for the game for that. But i've tried to keep it all sounding like it belongs.

Gist of this story is a unique Viper designed specifically for the duties of a technician/programmer gets gunned down while doing work at a remote facility. Only she doesn't stay dead, she awakens disconnected from the ADVENT Psionic Network. Now free, she has to struggle with staying alive, isolated and alone. doing what she can to survive when she should clearly be dead.

this whole series is her struggling to stay alive using her wits, limited combat training, a drone linked to her brain, and as much luck as she possibly can muster. And hopefully find peace, and friends in the hostile world she was never designed to face.
