This is an idea I wanted to do that I thought would be fun and new. I've seen pics of Scooby Doo as a blueberry but I haven't seen a story based on one, so I decided to try it out.

During their investigation in a haunted candy factory, Scooby and Shaggy find themselves in a pickle after the canine obliviously chews a three-course gum he found in the inventing room.

It wasn’t strange when two friends had volunteered to check out an abandoned candy factory, one that had strange reports of hauntings centuries ago. It also wasn’t strange when these two friends were no strangers to these kinds of places. A human named Shaggy Rogers and his loyal, talking canine name Scooby Doo stand in front of this building, dark and creepy as they would describe it. The story goes that they promised their friends to check out the factory while they were away, as they needed to know if the legends are true. At first, they didn’t want to go until they heard about the candy factory. So in their heads, they may find a secret vault of chocolate, or some other sweets to grab and devour. If it were a buffet place or a restaurant, they would do anything to capture any hauntings and keep the places to themselves, as they are big eaters. Shaggy looks at his phone, checking out if this was the right place. “Like, maybe we should go back. The place doesn’t look that friendly to us, Scoob.” Shaggy says, being as he always is, a coward chicken.
Scooby thought of the same thing, but the idea of having all of that candy inside couldn’t help resist the urge to go in. It is a shame he can’t eat chocolate as it would get him sick. “I rish, Raggy.” Scooby had that fear inside of him as well, believing that the place is truly haunted. “Rut what about the randy?”
“I mean, yeah…..” He didn’t have any argument besides the fact the place is abandoned. “Are you sure there is any candy inside? Like, it could be empty.” He puts his hands in his pockets as Scooby’s tail wags and softly hits the ground like a cat. “Then again, we are doing this for the gang.” Looking up at the factory, he wanted to make them proud. “Alright, let’s get going then.” With full confidence back on his mind, Shaggy uses the headlight he had on his head and turns it on. As they walk closer to the place, the two would whimper quickly as they keep hearing the sounds of the wind blowing over some loose leaves and giving them a chill to their spine.
They arrive at the giant double doors, made out of metal while cold to the touch as Shaggy presses his hand on it. To their surprise, the door opens gently. “Ruh?” Scooby lets out in both fear and confusion. He even lets out that big gulp he would make before he and Shaggy enter a haunted place. Of course, due to Scooby’s motivation for hunger, he goes in first while Shaggy follows him. The interior was just the lobby of the factory, filled with a wooden, dusty, and broken-down front desk with some doors leading to different areas of the building. Scooby and Shaggy look up at the signs labeled underneath the doors, with one as [The Inventing Room], another one the [Lockers], and the final room as the [Bathrooms]. Scooby uses his nose to sniff any familiar scents, most likely sweets or food, and follows the scent through the inventing room. “Here, Raggy.” He tells his friend as Shaggy would trust his canine buddy to lead the way.
Though before they left the lobby, Shaggy spots what looked like a map of the factory, like the ones used at museums and amusement parks. “This could come in handy.” He said, grabbing the almost-faded-out map. He folds the map up and stuffs it in his pocket for later.
In the Inventing Room, the place is full of machines that are either rusted, parts missing, and shattered into pieces. “Where’s the food?” Scooby asks as he can’t see any candy left out for him to eat. It was starting to disappoint him.
“We can go to the buffet after this.” Shaggy suggests as he still doubts there’s nothing here, and he’s a big eater too.
Of course, Scooby would never give up on it. He’s one that would make sure not to leave anything edible behind. “Ruh, I’ll rill find romething!” And so he goes off on his own with a huff, both of them forgetting why they were here in the first place. With Shaggy checking out the machines, Scooby searches every square inch of the place and corners to make sure nothing was hiding from him. He even makes sure his sniffer can get any trace available. Towards his luck, Scooby indeed finds something useful and edible. On a stand, one far away from the assembly line machines, was a piece of plain gum on it. “Gum?” Scooby asks himself as he goes closer to it. Below the stand read, [Three Course Gum]. That’s when the dog cocks his head to the side and licks his lips with interest. “Three Course Gum?” That sounds like something he would enjoy, a gum that would be his entire meal and dessert in one go. “Mmmmm, I’ll rake it!” Scooby snatches the gum, without thinking of how long it’s been sitting there, and tosses it into his mouth, chewing away softly. “Oooooo, so rood!” He said with satisfaction, as he can taste some sort of beef in it.
Shaggy had heard Scooby’s echo of pleasure and ease, wondering what his friend found. “Scoob?” He said as he follows the voice and finds Scooby laughing while chewing something in his mouth. “What are you doing, bud? And like, what is that in your mouth?” He’s starting to question if Scooby actually found candy to eat.
“Gum, Raggy! It’s a Three Course Gum!” Scooby was so excited by this new discovery that he couldn’t help but to chat while still chewing the marvelous gum. “I ran taste the tomato roup!”
“Tomato soup?” It’s an odd flavor for gum, as Shaggy says in his head. “Come on, we need to keep looking around Scoob. We haven’t finished exploring.” Shaggy tells Scooby, crossing his amrs and turning back around.
Scooby rolls his eyes, moving the gum around in his mouth as the flavor begins to change. “It’s rueberries now! Blueberry pie!” He giggles louder, with this becoming his dream come true. He has to find the story behind the magical gum and find a way to create it for himself. Clearly, Shaggy didn’t seem interested in this gum, which made Scooby a bit bitter in emotion than taste.
“Yeah, yeah. A buffet would do better, you know.” Shaggy argues, feeling a bit jealous that Scooby didn’t intend to share the gum with him. Then again, it’s better not to touch things that aren’t theirs.
As they continue on, Scooby can’t help but to sniff uncontrollably. All he could smell were blueberries, and only blueberries. It’s like someone placed a blueberry pie in front of his face that he can’t see. It’s sweet in both his scent and taste as he kept chewing the strange three-course meal gum. What he doesn’t know is that as he kept smelling the strange smell, his nose was turning from black to dark blue. “I rell blueberries, Shaggy.” He tells his friend as he can't get the smell away from his nose.
Shaggy can’t smell any scent of blueberries and wants to know about that scent as well. “Like, are you sure bud? I can’t smell anything.” Usually, he would smell it too as the two share the same food senses. Concerned about his friend, he turns around to check on Scooby. He’s in complete confusion and shock to see the blue stain on Scooby’s nose, slowly spreading on his snout. “Hey Scoob, could you sit down for a minute?” He asks as he gets on one knee.
Scooby tilts his head to the side, wondering why Shaggy was acting so worried. The human uses his fingers to rub the top of his snout and nose, seeing if he could get rid of whatever this blue stain was. But it wasn’t going away nor was it getting smaller. “What is it, Raggy?” The dog said, doing the same thing as Shaggy is doing to help, still chewing the gum as if that wasn’t the problem.
“I don’t know how to tell you this, Scoob. But your face is turning blue!” He’s never seen anything like this before, and they’d been through tons of strange mysteries. “It’s not coming off!” He assumes that Shaggy is playing a prank on him, as the two would do all the time. But the genuinely feared reaction from him makes it more serious than jokingly. From the corner of Shaggy’s eye, he notices that Scooby’s paws were turning blue too. “Dude! Your paws!” He alerts the canine. “What’s going on with you!?”
Scooby holds up his front paw to examine it, with his heart dropping and his eyes widened, the two watch as it spreads up on his leg and reaches towards his torso. His whole face was blue and reached down his neck, it slid down his skinny tail to his rear end, and his entire torso was going from brown to the dark shade of blue. Scooby whimpers in fear as he looks up to his owner. “What’s rappening to me!?” He cries out once his entire body is nothing more than blue fur with dark blue spots. Then, came the sounds of bubbling and gurgling from Scooby’s gut. Along with Scooby whining and groaning as if he had one of those stomachaches. “I…reel runny…Raggy….” He puts his paw on his gurgling stomach, only to feel it moving outward, which was not a great feeling for him. Looking down, he screams in horror as he realizes that his belly was swelling up. “Rah! I’m rowing up!” He tells his friend as the human notices that as well.
“Dude! You’re getting fat!” And that only happens when he’s supposed to empty out buffets and restaurants, not by this. Shaggy couldn’t help but to poke Scooby’s swelling belly, assuming to be fat but with it sloshing around like there’s water inside. “W-what do we do!?” He steps back a bit when it keeps on growing bigger, forcing Scooby to spread his front legs apart as it spills onto the ground.
Scooby gets on all fours to keep his belly from dropping to the ground and touching it. Though as he tries to take steps, he finds out that it’s terribly heavy to walk around. “It won’t rop!” As his belly grows, his legs puff up with juice, turning them like fat pig legs. His butt cheeks bwomp out of nowhere in surprise as he lets out a loud yip. He couldn’t see them from this angle but he uses his tail to rub them, whimpering louder. “I’m so big, Raggy!” With his belly increasing in size and touching the floor again, his paws couldn’t be of any help as they rose up along with the rest of his body. His back arches outwards to help turn his body into a rounder shape. Scooby is like a giant water balloon, filling up with water. “Relp! Raggy!” He cries out with his big arms flailing around slowly. His paws pop into bloating sausages along with his nails sinking into them.
“Oh no…..Scoob!” Shaggy didn’t know what to do, backing away from his swelling dog. “I don’t know how to help!” As the poor canine keeps expanding, his tail sways side to side in fear before bloating and growing longer with whatever liquidy substance was filling him up. It stiffs like a wooden stick as it cannot move anymore.
“R-ry rollar! It’s….right…” Scooby said with his neck swollen up and stretching out his collar. Unfortunately, the strap locks on which was squeezing his fat neck. “R-relp!” He was in great danger and he couldn't get the collar off of him.
“Hold on!” Shaggy says, on his way to save Scooby. Like a hill, he grabs onto the soft fur and inflated upper chest of Scooby’s body and climbs up. The man wishes to be faster as Scooby still grows taller as he is growing wider in size. It also looks like his extremities were beginning to sink in, as Shaggy took a glimpse of his filled-up paw sinking into his yoga ball-sized leg. “I need to be quick!” He tells himself, climbing higher. Shaggy finally reaches Scooby's face, the poor dog whimpering and groaning. His eye color has changed from brown to blue in seconds with his cheeks filling up with the liquid. Even some of it leaks out of his mouth. “Scoob! You’re leaking something bud!” It was blue and it had the smell of blueberries, just like Scooby had been describing his scent. “Blueberries?” With that final clue like how they do, it all comes together for Shaggy. “Dude! You’re turning into a big blueberry! Like, that gum man! You got to spit it out!” He assumes, since none of this happened until Scooby chewed that strange three-course meal gum.
Hoping he could, it was stuck inside his maw. “Mmmmfh! Mmmfh!” Scooby wants to spit it out and say something but with his cheeks squishing his snout, he can’t. His collar creaks and the latch shakes and scratches its metal piece.
“What is it, Scoob?” With Shaggy figuring out the issue, he forgot why he was up here in the first place. That was until, SNAP! The collar pops off and falls to the floor with a cling, the sound of Scooby’s dog tag hitting the concrete floor. “Oh geez! Like, I totally forgot about that, sorry.”
If Scooby wasn’t so terrified, he would have grumbled at his friend. “Mmmrrrph!” With the dog’s collar not being a problem anymore, his head slowly sinks into his body. “MMMRRRPPHH!” Scooby muffles with screams and howls, watching his sight become more limited as he can start to see the outlines of his blue furry body, closing on him.
The human lets out a gah and grabs onto his fat cheeks to help pull him out, though it was useless. The strength of the dog’s swelling is greater than the strength of a human. “I’m sorry bud! I can’t get your head out!” He gives up but doesn’t drop down as he didn’t want to leave his friend alone. Scooby takes more on a rounder shape, so round that Scooby looks like an actual blueberry a hundred times, or thousands it’s size.
He could only flail his big paws around slowly, yet not his toes. The juicy canine’s body tilts side to side by an inch. With everything inflated, bloated, filled, and blimped-up, the swelling stops. Scooby heavily breathes through his nose and uses his eyes to look around, only seeing the upper view of the room around him and what looked like part of his smooth and rounded neck and shoulders. “Mmmmfhhhhhh…..” Scooby takes in a deep sigh of relief that he stopped growing, but then worries about how to get back down to size. If only he could speak again, he would apologize to Shaggy for being so oblivious. Then again, there wasn’t a sign that didn’t say do not touch.
Shaggy can see the guilt in his eyes, the words of I’m sorry written in Scooby’s expression. “Hey Scoob, don’t worry. I’ll find a way to…juice you?” He thought of it as the right term for the situation they’re in. Neither of them knew how to or if Scooby would burst. As poor Scoob whimpers with fear, Shaggy reminds himself of the map he stuffed in his pocket, the one he picked up from the floor. “Maybe there is something to juice you.” It was a rare possibility but Shaggy would go for it to save his best friend. Opening the map, he scans through it, finding anything that could relate to Scooby’s swollen body. “Ummm…..” Some of the rooms labeled on here were strange, from the chocolate room to the lollipop hall, these didn’t seem like good places to take Scooby. Though, they do sound tasty to him. Finally, he lays his eyes on the juicing room, which was on the other side of that giant, round-shaped door next to them. “Juicing room, that’s where we need to go!” Happily gathering a plan, Shaggy slides down the dog’s orb-shaped body to the ground. “Now….let me see if I can….” He gets onto Scooby’s side, leaning against it with his strength as he begins to roll the blueberry canine. It was like rolling a giant boulder but furry and soft to the touch.
“Mmmf?” Scooby muffles, wondering if Shaggy knows where he’s taking him. All he can see is the clear view outside of his wide, rounded neck spinning around. The canine can feel himself dizzy for a moment, nausea like he’s about to throw up. Or that is if his cheeks weren’t swollen and clamped his snout shut like glue. “Mmmmmfhhhh…..” He groans with a weak-sounding bark.
“Almost there, I’ll fix you right up. Then, we can hit up that buffet back downtown.” That does sound good for Scooby, as he is starving. Seems like that three-meal course didn’t satisfy his stomach at all, not even the juice produced in his body. Shaggy can only hope this is how Scooby can deflate, as he takes him through the dark corridor. To make this short and sweet for their adventure, they should never eat anything strange or go to places they find creepy. On the bright side, no ghost came to make their night worse or they didn’t consider bothering them due to Scooby’s misfortunate accident. No one will know for sure.
