The fae dragon seems a bit confused as Bren being the absolute sourpuss he is doesn't enjoy the egg treatment despite all their other prey finding it heavenly. They sneak off into the woods to try and find a way to cure Bren's discontentment, however Bren does not want to be an egg pet so he uses his power to suck the life force of a bird so that it cracks the egg open and allows him to escape, breaking his captors heart.
