I decided to dedicate the first month of this year to making an original oil painting. And now that it's finished, I'm very happy with how it turned out. (:
When working at this I was so worried that it might not turn out as good as I hoped; such a pointlessly stressful experience, but all the positive feedback I've gotten since reassured me that it was worth while. Big thanks to all my friends who kept on being encouraging to keep me going. I don't think I could have done it without them. And with some luck, I'll get a spot at the Eurofurence Art Show for this piece as well! :D

Tools: Oil paint on blockboard (30cm by 45cm). Using sable hair brushes on a white acrylic gesso base with the Schminke Norma paints ivory black, titanium white, cadmium red mix, cadmium yellow light, cadmium yellow deep, cadmium orange and cerulean blue.
