I was only little and only vaguely remembered Shinobi as a 2D game series
I played the hell out of the PS2 demo, but sadly never had the full game. I recently got the chance to play a fair bit of it and honestly it has a lot of cool systems going on for a hack-and-slash

I've not actually played the Genesis ones, I really should give those a shot. I recall playing one of them when I was young but didn't know its name (3 maybe?). Give the Retro store a go, see if you can get it. If not, hmu
