So since I've only been in this house for a year or so and I've been busy settling in and doing household stuff and busying myself here and there I haven't had much time to actually root down and build things I need to save space and make things more readily available.
I've recently acquired some pegboard from a neighbor who had excess and I broke it down into panels I could hang up in places where I things that need to be out of my way.
I personally don't like pegboard. I see it as ugly, lazy, cheap, and unimaginative.
So, I used some of it to help save space.
The little hook rack you see here is made entirely from scraps. The hooks are made from duplex nails which are very useful when making contrivances like this.
How I was able to bend the nails like that cold: I take a heap of them and put them in a steel soup can and heat them in a firepit and allow to cool with the dying fire and I get them the next day. They'll be annealed fully and can be bent readily by hand.
They're much easier to pein over to form a rivet when annealed.

I don't really know. "temporary construction where nail removal is required, such as concrete forming and scaffoldings" is what google says.
