A quick little sketch commission for MitchellTF, promoting the latest book in the "Divine Blood" Series by Thrythlind, which you can find at https://thrythlind.itch.io/
Story Synopsis:
Semester Start is the first novel in the Divine Blood series.
This is a world where science fiction meets ancient myth and the rise of psychic powers. Magicians and exorcists walk the world alongside pilotable, humanoid "uprights."
As it stands, the worlds of Avalon, a high-tech organization of mercenaries; Yomi and Nirvana, ancient, hidden nations of occult power; Psyche, a shadowy organization of mystics and psychics; and Bravura Academy, a boarding school for talented young men and women; have but touched without really seeing each other.
But in the pages of this book, individuals from those worlds will finally take full notice of each other.
Per Commissioner:
"No, seriously. Luke Green [Thrythlind] is a great friend of MitchellTF's, who wants more people to buy Luke's book... This [above character] is Naiki, the blondsexual schoolgirl with what Mitchell thinks is the most accurate portrayal of ADHD they have seen. Thrythlind says he didn't do it on purpose.
For some people, high school is relatively normal. For Naiki, Eija, and Deimosu, High school involves living in Ausralia, dealing with a girl who considers 'Home Alone' a guide to society, a class rep who is a Tsundere Korean, and will beat anyone who says that with a backscratcher, an unsocialized child soldier, literal Hel, and more. Luckily, when you're an aquatic martial artist, a creepy cute not-goth who can see dead people, and an electrokinetic with the build of Michalangelo's David, things are pretty good. This story is a comedy, RIIGHT? It's not build up to something else. RIIGIHT?"
