Rats are very cuddly indeed. I read somewhere that receiving affection actually boosts their immune system somehow... pretty crazy and wholesome at the same time!

Rats seems to be social animals (like bees, wolves or humans). It is possible (an even probable) that having social interactions (and, moreover, positive ones) could bring some benefits for their health.
