Krystal. I know that Nintendo has done you wrong in so many ways, and that they failed to see what great things you brought to us. But no matter what they do, my love will never diminish. Our love for you will remain strong. If Nintendo cannot see it, then they are greedy. I pray that one day you will have your own game. Happy Valentine's Day.

To be fair, I can see the issue from both sides.
At the end of the day Nintendo is a business and you want to try and avoid controversies by any means necessary so they don't hurt potential profits... however Nintendo is not some tiny little studio in the middle of nowhere. They were basically the Monopoly Empire of gaming at one point and are still one of the big AAA juggernauts of the industry. They are a multi-billionaire dollar company to the point where their characters are now more recognizable than Disney's most popular icons. I'm in Sony and Microsoft are big but you don't see them building entire flipping theme parks! XD
At the same time it's definitely frustrating to the fans how the character of Krystal is mistreated and not givin any attention.
But Nintendo knew what they were doing, they made a stereotypical love interest for the main character in a franchise that was trying to evolve itself. On a Cutting Edge game for the time and bumped up the rating to T.
( I really don't think I have to explain how censored and downplayed this rating is these days by comparison but they could definitely get away with more in the earlier days... because I highly doubt a game under T rated could get away with Ivy Valentine's SoulCalibur IV P1 costume wouldn't be canceled into the pits gaming h_ll. hahah)
Nintendo was definitely trying to make Krystal eye-candy and pushing the boundaries of what the rating would allow. Loincloth + Thong AND even that sneaky ladder Wedgie "error" uh-huh sure, definitely not a sexualized character LOL!
Nintendo can't run away from this character forever. For Better or For Worse, they did it to themselves.
Cute comic stripe always nice to see light-hearted wholesome stuff every now and then.💗
