The pivotal point of Joshua Hargrave, slighted protagonist facing the unvierse continually pushing back and against him, wrangling the stress and strain of being under the thumb of an Archdemon, finally unlocking the key to his freedom: the reality-warping spell, Omnimancy.
Here, in this moment of pure elation, the scientific mind of Joshua at last finishes the pure-magic of reality's weakest point, and bypasses fate. In doing so, he comdemns himself to the life of the villain, the enmity of reality, the breaker of timelines - but that is a story for another time.
